Build quality is great/nice thick zipper at top
I originally bought Vigaro shredded rubber mulch from Home Depot to fill this. With settling it easily too 9 bags. Each bag is about 20lbs, making the filled bag over 180lbs in weight. This was too heavy and hard. I dumped it all out and refilled it using a combination of rubber mulch and low density foam (do not use memory foam). What I did was line the bottom half with a cheap foam topper (from target) and fill the middle with the rubber mulch. The upper half of the bag I filled with mixture of rubber mulch and approx 4"x4" cut pieces of the low density foam by mixing it as well as I could (you might be able to get this foam as scrap from a foam/upholstery store. After initial settling of the rubber mulch I topped off the top 1' of the bag or so with only lo density foam so it keeps it shape.
In the end I was left with a bag that was about 150lbs, which has some give to it while kicking. The low density foam I added made it feel like I was kicking a thigh, rather than a solid object.
Best of the best
This bag has it all.
Hand made craftsmanship
Highest quality components
Flawless design for full contact fight training.
Plan on spending a day to cut rags and fill the bag otherwise you might get your kids or students to do it.
No more difficult than filling any other bag.

Fairtex manufacture some of the best kickboxing/boxing equipment you can get, so would highly recommend this punchbag.
I went online and ordered specialist punchbag filling, see below for details.
You can always use cut up old clothes etc instead, but I wanted to do it properly.
I also bought a 5” diameter, 1.5m length of ventilation plastic tubing, which I duct-taped both ends after filling with 15kgs of play pit sand I bought from Argos for £5.
This adds rigidity to the bag and will ensure the bag maintains its shape better. It also adds weight to make the bag heavier.
I bought 20kg of specialist shredded cloth for £40 + £10 delivery from fightstorepro but you will have to contact them direct for orders.
20 kg of filling with the added weight of sand + tubing filled the 6’ bag adequately.
