I've been VERY impressed with this and the other Disney Fairy chapter books. The writing quality is phenomenal compared to similar books for this age group and genre (think Daisy Meadows books) and the story line is just intricate enough to keep older readers engaged without losing the younger ones. The story includes conversation, discussion of emotions, and descriptions of fairy life that really stir a child's imagination. I highly recommend this and the other Disney Fairy chapter books for young readers and for kids who enjoy having a story read to them. My 5-year-old will sit on the couch and listen to me read an entire one of these books at a sitting! The pictures are sparse (it's not a picture book per se) but amazing nonetheless, and my daughter marks her favorite ones with bookmarks. To me, the Daisy Meadows books -- while great in the sense that they get kids reading -- are horribly boring and poorly written, and I'm so excited that we found THESE fairy books. I actually am interested in each new story, too!

Nothing that made me really cringe or think twice about my 6-year-old reading this... she enjoys having me read it to her but could read it herself soon. EXCELLENT book for kids - especially girls - just ready to read chapter books on their own. Beautiful pictures every few pages which my kids love. Gives them a little "transition" from mostly pictures to mostly no-pictures. The story is fun to read to the kids and the few pictures they enjoy for a little visual appeal.

I have known about the Disney fairy books for about a year, & have never really been disappointed by them. In this book, we see that Tinker Bell, though she love fixing non-living things, finds that her talents are not really suited to fixing living thing, such as faeries!

Although things start to go well for her, she quickly learns that faeries are too unpredictable to "fix", & the results are often disastrous. Her intentions are good, but inanimate objects don't think for themselves, & there is not a universal "fix" for everything.

Sometimes it is best to leave things as they are, & it is a lesson that Tink learns the hard way.

Running an animation forum, I have come to greatly love the Tinker Bell movies, & these wonderful books give a whole new depth into the world of Pixie Hollow!

I love this book. It tells about Tinkerbell, who is a tinker or fix it fairy. She and all her fairy friends are very close in Pixie Hollow. When a new baby laughs for the first time, a fully grown fairy is born. Wonderful for grade school age girls.
