The story is about wizards in a place called Magnolia, now since this is a Japanese shonen these wizards are not like 'western' wizards where they are mentally strong but physically weak. These wizards do what you'd expect from a shonen and jump, punch, kick and pretty much destroy everything in sight with their great physical strength combined with their magical ability. A lot of humour is tied into this as well making for a great overall read. It's a great entry manga for anyone looking into starting their reading experience and will build into one of the greats in shonen.
