I will not hesitate to read another on of Ms. Phillips books regardless of the genre. You will not go wrong with purchasing and reading this book. A truly acceptation story.
The author has written in such a way that keeps your attention. I look forward to the next book in this series. I give this book 5***** all the way around. It was a great read and I definitely recommend it.
Constance Phillips has opened the gate so to speak to a whole new realm where Fairies with mystical powers reside.
Monique is on the run hiding out in the human world from her brother Keiran that is trying to force her to marry not for love but for protection. Having to constantly keep moving due to her brother Keiran finding her, she needs to find a job quick due to she is running out of money. She decides to apply for a job that is completely opposite of her normal skills in hopes of throwing him off her trail. Monique can weld any human with her power to cast spells of attraction. How hard could it be to get a job you have no skills for. Simple right or is it?
Daniel is in need of a new assistant that can handle his work load as efficient as the assistant that is leaving. While interviewing Monique for this job, it appears on paper that she has no skills for the job and and concludes the interview. Monique is stunned that she is unable to in-thaw Daniel to get the position.
Has she been good to long from the Fairy world that she is losing her powers? Is He the only human to be immune making him Fairy Proof? or Is there more than meets the eye?
This is a great start to this series. Can not wait to dive back into this fairy world with the next book.
Monique is on the run from the fairy world and living among the humans. She is running form her brother Keiran who is forcing her to marry someone she doesn't want,he wants to be able to chose who she loves - which is only fair right?
She has been on the run for six months and in the time her brother has almost caught her but she keeps managing to move on just in the nick of time, Using alias to get jobs she applies for a position where she tires her fairy magic only to discover it had no effect.
Daniel Elliot is intrigued with Monique and despite himself he finds himself wanting to hire her. Daniel is unlucky in love, his fiancé disappeared along with his grandpas ring and nothing had been seen or heard from her since. He has tried to find her but always draws a dead end.
The sub-plot that is also going on within the main storyline was rather good. I really enjoyed this story and after my initial thoughts of not connecting with Monique I warmed to her more as the story progresses.
Fairyproof is a sweet romance with an interesting view on fairies. If you are looking for action and romance with a different spin, this is a good read. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next.
TCOI received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. There were twists and turns. The characters were well developed. I find that the plot was unique. It was different then other fae books I've read. I almost felt like they were regular people. Daniel and Moni were great, I really would look forward to seeing more about the other characters though.. if the author is doing more!

I had some trouble really getting into this one. It wasn't a bad read but I wasn't as enthralled with it. The storyline kind of lagged for me and was pretty predictable. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Amber Hall
I am clearly not on the same page as other reviewers of this book. It was all over the place. There are just too many characters to follow and not enough build to make you care... Read morePublished 17 months ago by K. April Holgate
