This is this Authors first book and I was really looking forward to it. After I read the description my mind was running rampant on what could possibly happen and what I got was so much more than what I was expecting.
Adalyn broke my heart from the start. But as the book went on, her strength and determination really showed.
Luca was a mystery. I really wish we had gotten into his head to know what he was thinking but by the end of the book we understood all his secrets. He was so sweet and determined.
While this book was YA and that's not my favorite genre, I thought that it really works for these characters in the story.
Being that this is the Authors first book, I really love the fact that her imagination was amazing. She added such amazing descriptions as well as awesome dialogue between the characters that i'm going to not so patiently wait for the next book!
In the end there were a lot of twists and shocking moments! I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see where the author takes it next. We are slowly seeing Addy gain a back bone and work her way through her past! 4 stars #2OCCJD
The characters and what motivated them seemed authentic and real. I loved Addy and Jess like family from the get-go
The romance here is tender and untainted in this storyline that keeps you reading to find out the truth beneath the truth while it warms your heart.
In the name of "no spoilers" I will say no more than that I recommend this series and Ms. Minuck's story to anyone who loves Ya, loves the paranormal and a well paced mystery.
Order this book and you will not be disappointed! Now where's my kindle and book two? And by the way, I tend to be a speed reader.... but I skipped / skimmed nothing while I read this book. I can't say that often.

My two things I have issues with are #1 if there is a history of lycans in the area or the world, it would have been nice to know that before the middle of the book. You know there's something about Luca's group, but still it's rather a bit before it is even mentioned that lycans exist.
#2 I hada really hard time figuring out some of the words and contexts. There are misspelled words and wrong words ALL OVER THE PLACE. It was rather hard to stay in the story when I had to go back to figure out the word that was supposed to be there. They are spelled correctly, but they are the wrong words.
If there were a #3 it would be the inconsistent use of swears. I don't like swears, but I know people use them. That being said, using little until you drop the f-bomb a few times then going a while without, and using only minor swears then going back to the f-bomb again, not quite right.
Other than that, Good story
Faithfully Shattered was very well written and I liked the voice of Adalyn. She had been through so much heartache that she was just suffering. It was so sad but I am glad that Luca was there. Adalyn grew throughout the book and that is one thing that I really liked. She did have her difficult moments but they were acceptable. The book wasn't rushed and I appreciate that. I am glad that Adalyn was angry and that it took her time to finally open up. This is how it's supposed to be.
The problem I had was that I knew where this books was going, since the beginning I had an idea, but it took long to get there. That is one thing that I disliked. I didn't want predictable but I felt it was. I also wanted to feel more of the characters emotions. But other than that I think that this book was great. I really enjoyed the characters interactions and the way that it moved forward.
I am so ready for the next book because I need to find out more. There are still so many secrets that I need to find out! I need to know more about Adalyn and Luca. The ending was were all the action was and I loved that! It makes me anticipate book two even more. Faithfully Shattered was just the beginning, I am ready for more of these characters and their story.
Very entertaining with good character development. It is an "easy read" in that it moves along quickly without bogging down.
I am hopeful book 2 will be published soon as this reviewer can't wait to learn the outcome of Luca and Addy's adventure.
I highly recommend this book.
