Best self tanner under $30 for pale skin

I like to stay away from tanning beds and sun rays.. so self tanning is where it's at! I don't want to spend more than $30 on a self tanner and have tried just about all of them within that budget. It's very difficult to achieve an even, buildable, natural looking color on pale white skin. This is the only product I've tried within my preferred price range that can do that! Some tips: exfoliate WELL before hand. Apply a thin layer of lotion on your hands, feet, knees, and elbows to achieve even absorption. Use tan extender lotion to keep your skin moisturized after. Use a mitt! This stuff smells lile yumme coconut, is super easy to apply even for beginners, and can withstand a lot if the proper before and after care is taken. I usually let my guide color dry fully and sit on overnight and shower in the morning then repeat that 2 times until I've built up a nice deep tan. In person the color looks so rich and not orange. It doesn't transfer on clothing or sheets so long as it's fully dried. I played in the water for hours in a white shirt while wearing this and had minimal transfer that washed out of my shirt with a bit of bleach. On a normal dry day, I have no problems with transfer or wearing off at all. The only downfall I've had with this is that it's a lot of work and maintene. For me to go from pale to a deep tan, it takes 3 layers which is 2-3 days of applying, drying, prepping my skin, etc. Once color is achieved it stays well for about 3-4 days. The more you shower the more it fades. After my desired color, I usually just make it a habit to reapply another layer every 4 days and I moisturize daily with jergens lotion. It is work, but it's not difficult. To me it's worth the bang for my buck and makes me feel good in my skin. This is in my top 3 fab beauty items, I love it so much. If you're prepared to take the careful steps to acheive and maintain a great self tan with this, then it's worth it!!
