"Beautifully written, angsty and witty, this book is a definite must read." - Author Anna B. Doe
"I have loved the Ward sister's since The Marriage Effect and the fact that they are getting their own stories gives me all the feels. And let me tell you, Karla keeps DELIVERING for my girls! I loved Molly's book but this book for Claire. WOW." - Stacie R, Goodreads Reviewer
"Sorensen has hit her stride with the Ward family. Somehow, each book is just as good as -- perhaps even better than --the one before. If I needed an author to write my happily ever after, Sorensen just might be the one I'd pick. Her books make my heart happy." - Kindled Souls Book Blog
"This was a match made in heaven. It was sweet and sexy and all kinds of perfect, and I couldn't get enough of either of them." - Author Ellie Isaacson

The story follows Claire, a 21-year-old who has been harboring a secret crush on her twin’s best friend for years. Though she was able to put it behind her for a long time, its recently resurfaced, so Claire’s more willing than she probably should be to step into her sister’s shoes for an event. Thinking she’ll spend an evening with her crush (albeit, while pretending to be her sister), Claire is shocked when her crush’s brother shows up instead. Nothing like his brother, Bauer is tattooed and temperamental, the outcast of his family. Bauer’s always been more of a good time guy, but there’s no way he’s turning down his chance to spend the evening with the kind of girl he’s only ever dreamed of ending up with. As the two navigate the complexities of the evening, there’s no denying that they’ve got the kind of chemistry you don’t see every day.
I loved the opposites attract feel, the deep conversations, and the level of depth that’s achieved over the course of such a short time. These two have never met before, so they’re starting fresh and getting to know one another in a way they wouldn’t have considered before. It plays out like it’s in real time, and the reader definitely feels like they’re falling along with these two. There’s something incredibly enticing about a bad boy being so vulnerable, opening himself up to something new and different. Bauer is definitely that guy; you will fall for him within minutes of their first meeting. This stays light and reads quickly, but absolutely touches on some subjects that aren’t easy. I devoured it at an embarrassingly quick speed, and can’t wait to check out more from the author. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC (then purchased it for my collection) and am voluntarily leaving a review of this opposites attract romance.
I absolutely loved Bauer and Claire. This Ward family just seems to make me all emotional while reading and this story was no different! Another stellar book, it was everything I want in a romance with a fun twin swap twist- two opposites thrown together unexpectedly yet end up fitting perfectly together like they were meant to be. Claire and Bauer, the studious good girl and the tattooed bad boy, but that is all just surface level, in their hearts they are more alike than either expected. Both needing to be seen for who they truly are, they spark an instant connection and forge a love that was unexpected but exactly what they needed. Insecurities and past hurt cause some bumps in the road, but their love is addicting and undeniable.
"This is the most terrifyingly unexpected thing I've ever wanted."
Bauer, hiding behind his tattoos and surly attitude, he is 100% Boyfriend Material, a sweet and caring man, with just one smoldering look he can set Claire’s heart rate into overdrive. His vulnerability makes him endearing and his outspoken feelings for Claire had me falling in love with him too. For Claire being a twin has its perks but sometimes she just wants to stand out on her own accord. I may have even cried a little bit over her bond with her sisters and her brother, the love of family knows no bounds. Claire is beautiful in her own right, but vulnerable in wanting to be seen and needed, becoming something no one in their right mind would leave. Bauer is the just the man to make her feel beautiful and wanted but his own past haunts him and his happiness. Together they conquer their relationship fears and with some innocent touches that end up creating some sizzling chemistry, this story will have you wishing for your own snowboarding bad boy.
“We were products of our circumstances, but we didn't have to let those circumstances steer the wheel of every choice we made.”
I absolutely devoured this story! Faked is such a fun flirty, and light read that left me loving these characters and just wanting more. Bauer and Claire pulled me in right to their story from the get go and there wasn't a dull moment. They have such a great dynamic together and their chemistry is off the charts. Whilst their romance paced quite quickly, I felt the instant connection between them. They are the true definition of opposites attract, but boy, do they work. Their mutual banter and their vulnerabilities made them relatable and real characters. The Ward family just seems to give me all the feels while reading and this story was no exception. Another stellar book from Karla Sorensen; it was everything I could want in a romance story with a fun twin swap twist - two complete opposites unexpectedly thrown together yet end up fitting perfectly for one another.
Faked was such a wonderful book. It ticked ALL my boxes! It was perfect balance of swoonworthy storytelling and steam, hot and sexy moments. Karla Sorensen has penned a beautifully written story which gave me feel all the feel good emotions. Claire and Bauer's touching love story is a absolute must read!
