Having read the pre-sequel I was looking forward to something a little different then how this turned out to be. I loved Seth and looked forward to seeing more of him but I didn't get it from this book. Grace's character was kind of annoying for me and her "romance" with Josh felt too unreal and too quick.
I enjoyed the storyline but there was a lot left out. I really wanted to like this book and was looking forward to it but I was left disappointed. Hopefully I'll enjoy the next book better.
Grace is a protection angel who fights vampires, if you are a fan of the genre think Leo from Charmed had a baby with Buffy! She really kicks some butt! Seth is a fallen angel who risk it all for a love he could never have. Grace faces the same situation with Josh. But her memories of Seth and getting to see what Seth went through and why has created a very confusing situation for Grace. Who should she be with, who is the right one?
There is a great story here of good verses good verses evil. Great plot twists and turns. Great for the young adult. I can't wait to see what will happen next. This is a paranormal dream come true! There are angels, vampires, humans with extra ability, crossbreads and a whole lot more. I could see this as the next great show on the CW!
Her descriptions are perfect. I felt like I was right there experiencing the same emotions and feelings. I read this novel in about 5 hours and it stayed with me for days. Even now as I write this review I am falling in love with Seth and why he fell for Grace. I was in love with her main characters from the first few pages.
A Protection Angel living on earth killing vampires? Fascinating story. I cannot wait to read the next book in her Tate Chronicles. I know that I will continue to read anything she writes because I had such an awesome experience as a reader.
The lines between good and evil are somewhat blurred in this story and I thought the author did a good job of showing how "good" people can do bad things and "bad" people can do good things and how there can be very little difference between the two. It's all in the choices the characters make and whether or not they are blinded by their loyalties.
The "love triangle" does not dominate the story but it is the catalyst for several significant events. I personally think this story has enough uniqueness to forgo comparisons to other books but I suppose there are always similarities that are hard to get away from.
Fall for You is a good, action packed story and I am looking forward to reading the next book when it comes out.
Buffy fans will appreciate a girl who doesn't mind getting, in slayer terms, "dust" on her boots.
I am total Team Seth (love my bad boys), though Josh hogged the spotlight. <cough, cough>
I was crazy about the cover and title from the start, but after reading Fall For Me I love how it all tied together.
And uber cool to read a YA novel set in Australia. One of my BFs is Aussie and I enjoyed reading terms I've been listening to her repeat the past two years. Even after living in the States nearly two decades she refuses to call the parking lot anything other than the "car park."
