Taylour Dixxon finds herself befriending a woman, Sarah, who is subsequently arrested for murdering her husband. All the sudden, she goes from friend to lawyer, and is thrust into solving the mystery of who really killed Neal Baines.
Set in the small town of Marlinsville, Tx, the hunt for the real killer begins. Teaming with Texas Ranger, Phillip Davidson, Taylour begins trying to unravel the mystery of who killed Neal. The story moves at a good clip, I enjoyed the twists and turns in the plot as the killer stalks Taylour and her family. There are some suspenseful scenes as well as some romance and comedy to break things up.
I hope the author explores some of the Lawyer/Client privilege scenarios that arose during the book. What happened to Betty? Where does Taylour go next? I'm excited to read the next installment!
This is a fun, quick read for anyone who enjoys a good mystery. Check out "The Fallen Body"!
This book is safe for the whole family and certainly worth the read.
Don't miss taking in this cozy little mystery with Texas charm!
It's great for the author's first novel, looking forward to his one next time.
