Sam is all " my breath catches as I see Mason, " and now I am a little worried, seriously she should see someone about that. Maybe she has asthma. No one should have loss of breath that often.
Becky and Adam oh no what ever will they do? Betrayal? No, not again! No way an author would recycle that played out plot line, its just way to predictable.
Sam is all angsty over her mom so she does something completely unexpected... No I'm just messing with ya, she runs and is all surly and mean to everyone.
Mason has an enemy from the other side of the tracks! This is so unlike him! What! The enemy is going to try to use Sam as a way to get to Mason?!?! No way! What a unique and novel approach. Oh look here comes the Scooby Gang to save the day. And that's the end of this rumble. Or is it?
Yeah no it pretty much is, a few wiggle fist moments but nothing to get emotional over. The bad guy is as scary as the T-birds without Danny.
Heather and Sam, Nate and Mason, Logan and Matteo, its best friends forever and I can't believe it but yes they really do mean forever. As in no one else can be friends with us, we're full thanks.
So what new and interesting things happened that if you don't read this book you will never understand what happened....... Literally NOTHING.
until the very last 5 pages. So don't buy the book, get the next one, because you know Tijan will give you a recap in the first few chapters. So I just saved you several hours and a few bucks. You're Welcome.
Mason and Sam are back to Fallen Crest while Logan is in Paris with his mom and Taylor. Janes is making Mason do an internship with his company and he has to word with Adam. Adam and Mason hate each other but Adam is acting like Mason is a long-lost friend. His dad believes that Adan's dad's company is dirty and wants Mason to find out if it's true.
Sam is bored so she takes a job at a Carnaval with her stepbrother, Mark. While there she runs into the man that Mason fought the night before and he threatens her. Thankfully, Mason sees what's going on and saves Sam. Sam doesn't want to quit her job but she doesn't need the problems Roussou's people can cause.
Analise is in Fallen Crest and haunting Sam. With their history it's no wonder Sam wants to stay away from home and she can't hang with Logan and Mason so she's lost except for her cross country running which keeps her sane. Heather is also someone Sam can't hang with since she's also Roussou.
The chemistry between Mason and Sam is still off the charts. They still can get all hot and bothered with just a look. Yes they are still so very much in love and willing to go to any measure for the ones they love.
This book brings them back to Fallen Crest for the summer. Mason is going to be a senior and is interning for his fathers company. Plus he and Logan have to be groomsmen in his fathers upcoming wedding to Analise. James has his moments in this book where he can be a decent dad and then he goes and does or days something that makes me take all that back! Analise on the other hand is wow…I’m shook! I can’t even say more than that.
Love Heather and Channing. Matteo is a great friend to Mason. I feel a bit bad for him in this book because he’s kept a bit on the outside of the group. He wants to be a part of it so bad. Mark was really pissing me off in this book! Thought he needed to check himself a few times. We even get to see the Academy Elite. Let’s not forget it appears that Becky finally got her man too!
As always you can expect your fair share of fights. Seems like someone is always out to get them. This time there can be serious repercussions! Can’t wait to dive into the next and final book in the series to find out if everyone makes it out ok!
Sam feels a little lost and she's not really thinking thoroughly about her actions. Of course her love of Mason and everything to do with him will never change. But she doesn't know what she wants to do career wise and she thinks marriage is a crock. She's seen first hand what cheating and lies do in a marriage and doesn't know if it can ever be real and true.
Fallen Crest has many ghosts and enemies of Mason, Logan, Sam, etc. Jared Caldron was Budd Broudou's best friend and he pretty much took over Budd's place. He has his sights on Mason, Logan, and Sam. Their dad want Mason to find out the illegal things in Stephen Quinn's past and it's his way of getting back in good with Fallen Crest's powerful.

Mason everyones protector, every book i get a little more protective of him, yeah he is no Angel but everything he has done has come from the right place, his loyalty, strength, and love for his circle has never wavered. he is the type of Brother, boyfriend, friend everyone needs in their life. but it is about time Mason got some calm in his life, i want that for him so bad.
Sam has grown so much since the first book but in other ways she is still broken. i wana see her find her inner peace.
Thankyou Tijan for writing this series but come on you left this one like this, ive left this book on my kindle waiting till the last one comes out so i could read both together but nope i couldnt hold off any more.
I really didnt like Taylor or her dynamic with Logan. She seemed pretty whiny.. and didnt really fit into the group at all.
Also sam putting herself and consequently her friends in harms way..after all she had already been through seemed a bit bizarre combined with the fact her moods were all over the place with everyone..
Will read the next book because ive already come so far.. but Taylor spoils alot of the story for me and the fun banter.
It is immature fight scene after immature fight scene. Keeping in mind Mason should now be 21, going into his last year of uni, I frequently felt myself muttering 'Grow up already' to my Kindle. That stuff worked when then were in high school- this book is just a continuation of all of that now in college.
Yes, it's for the Mason/Samantha dynamic which I love. Yet, I also felt that their relationship was an immature one. They never have proper in depth conversations. They read each other well. Definitely are on the same wavelength in many respects and clearly love one another. But I wish we got more from them to flush their characters out a bit more.
The only one who rings any truth in this novel is Taylor. She is the mature one and thank God that she is written into this novel and speaks the truth.
Hopefully for the last novel Tijan will show some growth of these characters. They can't be brawn forever. As they near adulthood, it would be nice to see them grow up a bit.
It kept me on the edge of my seat. Loads of twists in the book and the ending Oh my..... cannot wait for the next book it was really hard to to give spoliers but didnt want to ruin it for other readers of the brilliant series 😊😊
I'll say what I've said about the other books in that I love the characters and story line.
And I also like how this series has been set over a long period of time.
Can't wait to start reading the next one.
