Sam is all " my breath catches as I see Mason, " and now I am a little worried, seriously she should see someone about that. Maybe she has asthma. No one should have loss of breath that often.
Becky and Adam oh no what ever will they do? Betrayal? No, not again! No way an author would recycle that played out plot line, its just way to predictable.
Sam is all angsty over her mom so she does something completely unexpected... No I'm just messing with ya, she runs and is all surly and mean to everyone.
Mason has an enemy from the other side of the tracks! This is so unlike him! What! The enemy is going to try to use Sam as a way to get to Mason?!?! No way! What a unique and novel approach. Oh look here comes the Scooby Gang to save the day. And that's the end of this rumble. Or is it?
Yeah no it pretty much is, a few wiggle fist moments but nothing to get emotional over. The bad guy is as scary as the T-birds without Danny.
Heather and Sam, Nate and Mason, Logan and Matteo, its best friends forever and I can't believe it but yes they really do mean forever. As in no one else can be friends with us, we're full thanks.
So what new and interesting things happened that if you don't read this book you will never understand what happened....... Literally NOTHING.
until the very last 5 pages. So don't buy the book, get the next one, because you know Tijan will give you a recap in the first few chapters. So I just saved you several hours and a few bucks. You're Welcome.
This series continues to get better and better, and Fallen Crest Home is no different! This book is full of drama, angst, deceit, sex, and so much more!
With Sam and Mason back home for the summer, you'd think they'd be able to relax a little, but with Annalise just across the street, and old enemies vying to take down the Kade brothers, things are anything but relaxing for these two. Sam is on edge doing everything in her power to try to ignore the fact that she's in the same town as her mother, while trying to spend time with Heather, Mason and everyone else, while trying to figure out why people from her past want to reconnect with her. Mason is also in the twilight zone as well with his father wanting him to play nice with former enemies and while completing his summer internship.
Watching Sam trying to deal with her demons and everything going on in her life was hard to watch, she puts so much stress on herself, but at the same time she's so strong, she just doesn't know when to ask for help. She's been hurt and has gone through so much in her life, she internalizes so much but thankfully she has people now that truly care for her. Mason always knows what to do or say to make things better and I loved watching how protective of her he was again in this book. Did she put him and everyone in the bad situations they got themselves into this time around? Yes.. but would they have ended up in the situations anyway? Probably, but she held her own and I loved that about her.
I will admit, things weren't the same in this book until Logan and Nate showed up. Things are never the same in a Fallen Crest book unless both Kade brothers and Nate are around. Too serious I think, you always need the crazy Logan to lighten things up and give you the laughs when things are getting too serious in the book. I love Logan and I was happy when he showed up in this book to add some humor when things got a bit too tense at times. Seeing all these amazing characters from previous books coming together and seeing characters I thought we wouldn't have to deal with again show up in this book was interesting to say the least. I mourned with Sam the loss of a friendship I thought we had already mourned and watching that play out again was hard as a reader, I wanted it to work out and at the same time I didn't, I was just as conflicted as Sam with that one!
No matter all the drama and craziness that was going on in this book, the one thing that held true was the bond and love between Mason and Sam. These two are a power couple that no one can come between, except maybe themselves. I have a feeling that book seven is going to be interesting, especially with decisions that Sam made for herself in this book that she didn't communicate with Mason and how this book ended. The ending of this book was EPIC and I can't wait to see where Tijan takes us next with this amazing set of characters. If you're a lover of the Fallen Crest Series you MUST pick this one up today! So much happens in this book that will have you going OMG and will have you remembering why you fell in love with these characters to begin with!
The story was fast paced and for the most part I enjoyed it but it did feel like a bit of a repeat of book 1 only with Jared replacing Budd.
Sam and Mason are back in Fallen Crest for Mason's internship at his dads company but as its Fallen Crest, nothing ever goes smoothly and Sam and Mason soon find themselves in trouble and having to keep looking over their shoulders.
Add in that James and Analise are getting married and Becky Sullivan wants to be friends with Sam again and you have a book full of drama, angst and fighting, done Tijan style.
So, whilst I enjoyed the book and I loooooove Mason, Logan, Taylor and even Nate, This book made me dislike Sam even more than before (and I didn't like her to begin with). GAH! someone needs to give this chick a happy pill! She is the most depressing heroine ever. Everything is very 'poor me' and I found myself thinking STFU a fair bit. Like seriously, she's actually become quite pathetic.
I thought that now that Logan was with Taylor that she would be his top priority but it really didn't feel like she mattered a great deal to him in this book, it was all about Sam and the 'Fearsome Threesome'.
I was hoping to get a bit more from Logan and Taylor (who I actually really like) but unfortunately there weren't any POV's from Taylor and only a couple from Logan which again were all centred around Sam :-/
So, overall I did enjoy this book and I cant wait for the final instalment - I just hope that Sam becomes less depressing and we get more from Logan and Taylor.
