this game is great, i have the first quell and absolutly loved it, the second improves upon the first in all ways, the puzzles are achievable in the amount of moves, provided you give it some thought and the new way the puzzles are made makes for a very nice puzzle game. if you like this type of puzzle game then look no further get this great game. good replay value. htc g2

This game is very entertaining and well worth a dollar. As far as this type of game goes, you can do no better. A lot of fun and the replay value is fairly high. Even after it's over, you can go back and try to best your score and open up new levels. Highly recommended.

The Quell series were great games, until the developer removed content from paid customers, and chose to start charging those customers for parts they'd already paid for. Not to mention, after removing portions of the game, Fallen Tree doubled the price of the game.

If you can find the original APK, then you can play the game you paid for, but if not, you are out of luck.

I've always enjoyed the original Quell so, when I saw Quell Reflect was today's free app of the day, I didn't hesitate to download it.

When you first start the game, you'll be in an area that looks quite aged in time. You're in, what appears to me as, a darkened brick laid basement with, several vintage items neatly stacked against the walls, On the level select screen, you'll notice that each group of puzzles is assigned a year in the past placed in photo frames on a shelf. There are also 4 secret levels included. You can access these levels by tapping the FAN on the opening screen of the app. You'll immediately be forwarded to the secret 4 levels but if you tap the back button you can then access the larger group of levels. (Each labeled from the year 1962 to 1975)

Your goal is to collect all of the pearls in the least number of moves possible. The game gives you an idea of what that number is in each level in the top-left corner of the screen. Be careful though! Unlike the original Quell, Quell Reflect has multiple droplets with more & different obstacles like Red Drops & Gold Blocks. And, they still can only move in one direction. You'll need to plan a few moves ahead in order to avoid getting stuck in a corner with no way out! You can earn coins by completing levels with perfect moves. If you complete a level in that number of moves, you're awarded a hint token. Coins can be used for hints & it takes 4 coins to receive one hint. Once you've reached the next level, if you need a hint, tap the Pause button || in the upper Left hand corner then, tap "Hint". You'll need to use coins if you have accumulated enough points to earn any.

This is an amazing puzzle app with a very serene feel to it as you play.

this is a very good game but the latest update wiped out my entire progress. I was about halfway through the game and now I have to start over

I love quell! the puzzles are increasingly difficult and I'll usually do one until I get lowest moves possible. If I can't figure it out I use the hints because it drives me crazy not knowing! Anyway - this is the second one and I'm ready for the third! Only four stars because it's a little glitchy, sometimes I have to restart.

I have had QUELL REFLECT since December 24, 2014, but never got around to reviewing it. Unfortunately I can really compare the older version to the current one since the older was on a Q103 that has since been replaced with my Dragon Touch M10X, so I had to redownload it this morning. I honestly can't tell the difference, though, from memory. I must then assume this content change mentioned by Robert Reese goes even farther than the December, 2014 version I got. And with the lack of specific details, I also have to assume the content being referred to is not the gameplay levels, but what is currently being offered as IAP, which are extra shortcut helpers (such as Super Rewind and Jewel Detector) or coins for level hints.

As it is now, there are 84 total levels, broken up by 21 stages. I also own QUELL MOMENTO, which comes after QUELL REFLECT in terms of game chronology, and both are largely similar in mechanics and, well, IAP. The IAP is pretty invisible, being helping hands that aren't needed whatsoever as long as you are willing to play the actual game. The coins themselves are used for hints, yet there are so many YouTube walkthroughs for the QUELL series that even if you go totally bonkers with the hints, use up your last coin, you can always YouTube your way through a level. I personally never put a dime in the IAP in either game (nor used the YT walkthroughs) and completed MOMENTO, and got a 1/3 of the way with REFLECT before the tablet change.

Game play is fantastic, soothing, lovingly rendered, and I truly dig the soundtrack. So since I can't actually directly comment on any "content" changing - perhaps it is the IAP extras being reset from an update?
