Grace Sullivan is the last of the Sullivan sisters to be without a beau. Unless Grace manages to somehow become graceful, no one seems to think she will find that beau. Even as she works to improve her grace, Grace Sullivan remembers that she hadn’t been graceless before they moved to Colorado Springs and the house there. As she is practicing walking with a book on her head, she falls over the banister on the third floor of the house. Meanwhile, the son of an old friend of Mr. Sullivan’s has come to visit. As he is getting ready to leave the offices of Mr. Sullivan, Joe Erickson sees Grace falling and leaps to her rescue. However, as he rescues Grace, his leg is broken. Mr. Sullivan insists he stay here until it is healed. While he is recuperating, Joe finds a secret the house is hiding.
The book is fun to read and Grace does get into some predicaments with her gracelessness. However, the end is not something you see coming.
