I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Falling for Heaven, and I was hooked from the first word.

Ms. Conley's writing style flows very well, and Uri is just... *swoon* Such a sweet, strong, wonderful being.

It's a short read, but felt like a much longer novel, as far as action, depth, and pacing. That's really hard to do.

Definitely recommend this book, and can't wait for the rest of the Four Winds stories!

Falling for Heaven is a great read. It has a different twist with Archangels and romance.

Heaven is a stripper who only dances for the money. She takes care of her drug addicted twin sister and a mother who is in a home because of a disease. Heaven does what she has to do to keep her family a family in some way. I mean we all don't want to put our parent in a home because we can't take care of them.

Uri an an archangel who was giving a mission and it has to do with Heaven. What he mission entails Uri doesn't know. The Boss hasn't told him.

Lets just say Uri and Heaven get to know each other. Heaven isn't even her real name. I will keep it at that and let you find out what it actually is. Uri is trying to figure out what he is suppose to do with Heaven when another fallen angel the Deceiver is trying to get Heaven to go his way. It is kind of like good verses evil.

Will Heaven take Uri up on his offer after Uri finds out what is mission with Heaven is? Or will Heaven follow the deceiver?

You need to read this book to find out what happens. I am not going to give to much away. I will that you will like the ending as much as I did.

Series: Four Winds #1
Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance
Received from: Anne Conley (in exchange for an honest review)
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Grammar/editing: B – a few small errors

This is the first of a new series from Anne Conley. I’m told that they are each stand-alone stories and do not need to be read in order.

I remember once seeing a t-shirt that said “Being a Christian may not be easy, but the Retirement plan is out of this world!” In this series, God has decided that it is time for the archangels to retire, but there is no Senior Center in Heaven, so he has other plans.

Imagine you’re just doing your job and in walks two gorgeous guys. One is dark, brooding, gives off the sleaze vibe, and is cold to the touch, but HOT. The other is light, warm, makes you warm inside and out, and also has the hot-factor running off the scales. Both want Heather/Heaven. She knows the club rules and doesn’t date the clients, but she soon finds out that all bets are off when the clients aren’t human.

This was a fun, light, paranormal romance that I absolutely loved. Several serious topics are broached, but Ms. Conley manages to keep them from bringing the whole story to a depressing level. Hot angels are never going to lose their appeal for me. Even the Boss, unintentionally funny and with an unique fashion-sense, made several appearances.

This is also the first of Ms. Conley’s books that I have read, though I’ve been talking to her on Facebook for months. I am excited to say that I have the next two books in this series that I get to read later on this week (reviews on Mon and Wed next week). This is another one of those “why did I wait so long to read” authors.

The story of Uriel, the Archangel of Destiny, one of God's favorites. He's sent on "assignment" to earth once again, but isn't given any clues as to what his assignment is this time. Usually The Boss lets him know what destiny his mark is supposed to achieve, but this time he finds himself in a strip club. What in the world could The Boss have to show him here? This is where he meets his mark, Heaven (her stage name of course, real name Heather).
Uri is drawn to her immediately, and she to him. Unlike some of the strippers who break the rules that Mama (the owner) has set, Heather isn't into drugs, performing "extra favors" for clients or even dating them outside of work. She's a good girl doing what she has to do to take care of her family. Her drug addicted twin, Tiffany, and her mother who has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. She works to pay for her mother to be in a home and rent for her sister so she isn't homeless. Plus taking care of all her own bills.
Uri struggles with what The Boss tells him about this assignment because being the Archangel of Destiny is all he's ever known. And of course the Deceiver shows up to try and take Heather as his own. Since The Boss won't let him have anything good... he wants Heather because she is good.
It's a great story about who you are destined to be. Really you have to read it! Uri is sweet and just *swoon*! And yes, while Uri is an angel the story isn't preachy about anything religious... it's a love story.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great love story.

This is a well-written, fluid romance with a very likeable and well-developed main character. It's not predictable, but rather had me guessing until the end what would happen.

I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
