This is the third and final book In The Falling series by the amazing Marisa Oldham. Iit is so hard to say goodbye. I have been following the journey of Grace and Ian, and each book got better and better.
I fell in love with the characters and heartaches that it came with. From the beginning to the end I was emotional. The author said that she lives for her readers tears... well, she got buckets from me, and I know from some of her other readers as well.
I was hoping and praying that Grace got her happy ending. The journey was rough, but I am glad I got a front row seat to it. There was a lot of crying, but laughter. Sad times, but happy ones too. This book will bring out the emotions in you, and put them on display, and there is nothing you will be able to do about it.
I am beyond happy to call myself a friend of this amazing author, but also a fan, and that is not a word I use often. The journey was long for Marisa, but she didn't give up. She has created one sweet but gut wrenching master peace . So for that, she deserves a standing ovation.
5 stars to this amazing book. 5 stars to this fantastic series, and 5 stars to the author Marisa Oldham. She is going places guys. You know when a book plays out in your head like a movie... it is good. This is my favorite book in the series, and I hope it will be yours too!
Through TFOH, we learn more of Grace's life, what she's doing, and how she is moving on with her life. Grace is fragile, and broken. She is trying to move on and get her life together, but something always seems to be missing. Through the friends they have Grace see's Ian again, and of course they fight. They can't seem to get each other out of their systems.
Grace & Ian stop fighting, and finally start listening to each other. They finally start communicating. Grace & Ian meet / bump into each other throughout several months of friends getting together. They always are drawn to each other.
Grace feels like she's having a mid life crisis, and goes off on her own to Italy for some alone time and to get away from life. Is this escape to Italy what she needs to feel centered? Fate works in mysterious ways at times.
Will Grace & Ian finally work out? Will they be able to put their past behind them and move on together or separately?
I don't know where to start! I was torn in loving this book since I love these characters so much and I didn't want this book to end since I had no idea how I would be affected. What I can say is that this is my favorite book of her series! Her writing somehow felt mature and wise like her characters. I felt like I soaked up so much inspiration, compassion, and love for family.
Her words made me feel like I was taking on the journey with Grace. Experiencing what she was, exploring her environment, and most of all I felt like I could actually touch and smell what she was doing. I have no idea how to paint but I could feel the inspiration Grace had by Marisa's writing.
This whole series was beautifully written but she did an amazing job with finishing the series.
I wish I could see this on a weekly series so they wouldn't have to cut things out. It would be an awesome thing to watch, but she wrote this so well I feel like I have seen it before but I would watch it over and over again!!!
Bravo!! Marisa Oldham - YOU deserve to take a bow!
I enjoyed reading this book, as well as the rest of the series. Marisa has a wonderful way of making you feel as though you are part of the story, and not just a reader. Good-bye Grace. I will miss you and your heart wrenching, yet wonderful life.
Thank you Marisa for letting us be a part of your wonderful world. I enjoyed this book, and watching Grace grow into a wonderful woman. I hope everyone reads TFS and enjoys it as much as I did.
