Sorry you lost 2 stars for trying to get people on your advertising list. Why should we have to get a bookfunnel document to finish reading the story?
This is a really fun, quick, New Adult romance novel. It is billed as a romantic comedy, but I personally experienced it as a pleasant, engaging, light drama due to the subplot of a mystery to be solved as to who is sabotaging Zane’s startup.
It is quite enjoyable to experience an author who writes a G-rated, New Adult (NA) romance without the crudely detailed sex scenes that tend to overwhelm the romance in typical NA romance novels. In addition, there are no drunken parties, no drugs, no smoking, and no foul language.
I’m a very jaded romance reader, and these days, more often than not, I tend to skim big sections of romance novels. Not so with this book. I was fully engaged all the way through and read every word. Abby and Zane are sympathetic, compelling characters, and though there is no more than kissing in this book, there is plenty of emotional and sexual chemistry between them. I fully believed they are made for each other and deserve their well-motivated HEA.
As soon as I finished this book, I purchased the other three books in this series and have already raced through Book 2 and am starting Book 3.
I rate this book as follows:
Heroine: 4 stars
Hero: 4 stars
Subcharacters: 4 stars
Romance Plot: 4 stars
Hacker Mystery Plot: 4 stars
Writing: 4 stars
Overall: 4 stars
I quickly immersed myself in all things Abby and Zane and fell in love with them. There's just something about a sassy, fiery, quirky girl and a workaholic, no nonsense, serial dater guy falling in love that had my heart melting into a big ol' pile of goo. On paper, these two would never work. But off paper? You never know what can happen. ;)
I really loved watching Abby and Zane's relationship develop. Both of them had things in their past that hindered them from acknowledging their feelings for each other. But the more time they spent together and the more they got to know each other, the stronger their feelings grew. Now, don't get me wrong, their relationship wasn't all sunshine and roses. They broke my heart in two! But with unconditional love and trust, they slowly put it back together. This book was filled with the happy, the sad, the hurt, the angry, the funny and the swoony times, but their journey together was not only beautiful, it was perfect!
This was an amazing start to what I'm sure is going to be a fun series! Ms. St. Clair had me invested in this series before I had even finished chapter one. I cannot wait to read the rest of the girls' stories! I already know it's going to be a great break from reality.

If I was to sum up what reading this book was like I would have to say it was like spending time with my friends; I laughed, smiled, sighed and lost track of time. Simply put this was my cup of tea. It was funny, cute, caring, a touch wacky, romantic, flirty, had great examples of different relationships and shone brightly with life and love. I really want to start reading book two in this series now, I hope I don't have to wait too long....hint hint.... I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.....and then I bought myself a copy :-)
giving it a wide birth, but once Abby started working
with Zane, the story picked up dramatically. 4 stars
given because it was a lovely story once it picked up.
