This is my first review in a long time. Hopefully this helps any and all wishing to purchase this version of the game or the game in general.

I have always been a Fallout fan starting with Fallout 3 back in the day with my X-box 360. Then I obviously played Fallout New Vegas and now Fallout 4. I have to say, the jump to the next gen consoles went very well for this specific game. It isn't as glitchy as I remember the older games to be. The game looks very good given the type of game it is. For the type of game it is I never really held the game designers too much of a high standard due to the type of game and world they are trying to convey. For example, if you are buying this game expecting graphics like you would see in lets say, Grand Theft Auto. You aren't going to get that due to the world this is trying to depict.

You start off as the wanderer of the wasteland, much like every other fallout game you are by yourself sifting through a vast land of fallout nuclear waste. I for one enjoyed the main story line as it sucked me in and it kept me with it until the very end. It took me a while to get around to playing Fallout as I was finishing some other video games as well. However, when I finally got on board and started playing, much like other Fallout games I was unable to put it down for longer then a day as I really wanted to see what happened next. The main story is awesome; it really pulls you in and keeps you busy until you have completed it. Once this is complete there are still numerous side quests that you can complete as well as going back to older settlements that you've already cleared to help them out when under attack. I have to admit sometimes that gets a little annoying but fun nevertheless.

This version of the game comes with a cool pip-boy as well as a steelebook of the game. Some cool notes as well which I enjoy. Fallout and Assassins Creed are really the only games I pay the extra money for when it comes to collector’s editions because you seem to get the best bang for your buck with these versions.

I don't want to go into to much just in case you haven’t actually played the game yet. I DID NOT download or play any of the DLC so this review is based off of the regular stand alone game. However, if you are in the market to pick up the game and don't want to purchase the Pip-Boy edition the G.O.T.Y version is the way to go. You get everything the regular game has to offer alone with all of the additional DLC.

Overall I give them game a 7.5 out of 10. The game itself is awesome; the graphics are good but still look a little like New Vegas and Fallout 3 to me. The music is great and commentary is awesome. The main story is fun to play along too, the side quests are fun as well but they do tend to get a little annoying as well.

The game itself is everything I could have hoped for, Fallout 4 has actually exceeded my expectations! The box it all arrives in is wonderful, as is the game's steelbook, and the poster is a nice side item, too. But the Pip-Boy...some advice for people who are considering paying the $200+ people are reselling theirs for on here: don't.

Appearance: While the Pip-Boy looks fine as a display item from afar, up close it's immediately clear that this item is made of some very cheap plastic. Think of cheap child toys made of plastic, like kids meal prizes. That's what this looks like. I wish they'd have at least painted it in a way to make it appear to be metal/steel, it would have definitely taken away from the lackluster appearance.

Wearing: The Pip-Boy is actually supposed to just be strapped onto your arm with velcro. Unfortunately, my arms seem to be too small for this and it would only stay in place if I put it either too close for comfort to my elbow or just cut off my blood circulation altogether. As you can guess, both are not appealing options. If I put it on where it should be at in a comfortable way, it merely falls off my wrist completely.

Phone Fitting: The most important part of the Pip-Boy! And boy is it ever disappointing. A lot of people have complained their phones do not fit, and I am unfortunately one of them. My Moto E 2nd Gen fits in the actual slot just fine! The issue? My phone, when lying inside of the compartment, is too tall. The door of the Pip-Boy cannot close fully. Apparently the manufacturer didn't take this isn't consideration, as it could have easily been avoided if the compartment was made only a few centimeters deeper.

Pip-Boy Stand: The stand is great other than the fact there is a loose piece of black plastic inside of it that you cannot get out. When the stand is moved you can hear it moving about inside. I only know it's black plastic because I got it to fall into one of the see-through standees. Oh well, not like it's going to be moving on my shelf.

So while the game would get a solid 5/5 from me, I unfortunately have to go lower than that for this limited edition. If you can find one at a decent price down the line, it's worth picking up if you want it on display and never to wear!

This review is for the collectors edition. I am in the buyers remorse category. After spending $180.00 tax in for the collectors edition I was left with a huge plastic box and a cheaply made pip-boy. The foams on the inside immediately fell off, the foam itself had a hole and they patched it up with tape of the same colour... The made in China sticker did make me laugh though. Anyway to all of you who missed out, trust me, you shouldn't regret it. I should have listened to my mom on this one: You're 32! Why do you still buy toys! Sorry MA, I should have listened to you. The game is a lot of fun and the steel box is cool looking. Happy travelling wastelander! Enjoy the game!

I was bit bored with fallout 3 and new Vegas but after playing skyrim for so long and loving that game I'm hooked on Fallout 4, it's even stopped me from playing destiny.
