I have ordered books from Amazon regularly and in substantial numbers, but never an ongoing novella - detectives is my preference and Diane Capri's "Justice series is the kind I like; a solid complete story, well written, so I thought I would get another of her well executed story lines. After finishing "False Truth" 1-4 ending on some kind of "cliffhanger" is not only totally dissatisfying it means not knowing how this will end. This throwback to 1950's radio plots is not what I was looking for and so I will not ever know how Jordan got off that island and what ever happened to Dominique's mother. Pity but I've had enough...
I found False Truth 1-4 disjointed and a little confusing. The main character, although a college journalist graduate and employed by a TV network, seemed to have the maturity of a 12-14 year old. I think maybe she has ADHD. She was constantly attempting to run with the big dogs and she had no experience or apparently diligence to do so. The work had no typos. That was gratifying.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first 4 books of this series so I bought book 5. I was thoroughly annoyed when I realized I would have to keep buying books to actually read the whole story so I stopped. Even though each book can stand alone as a "episode", I didn't like being forced to keep buying the next book if I wanted to continue the major storyline. Book 5 was the last I bought of this series and I am done.
This book hooks you, winds you in and sets the hook. Don't get the wrong idea, this story has nothing to do with fishing but everything to do excitement, action, and troubles. The characters seem real and have emotions that we have all had whether we admit or not. Have a wonderful read!
Young, adventurous reporter gets into more trouble. Her wild imagination propels her, toward dangerous situations in search of the perfect story. The search for her mother's killer is very rarely evident.
After a aslow start the book picks up. Adverentous , ambitious , fast thinking, Jordan manages to get in and out of various scenarios Just as I was finally getting into the story, your left hanging to buy the next book. Which is a frequent rant of mine.
Diana Capri puts together a nice truly easy reading story. As always the plots are real interesting. Loved the first 4 books just got no. 5 will be getting to that in the future. Excellent job as always. CC
