If you are curious about what it would be like to live in Paris, this is a book for you. It gives you a realistic picture of some of the hurdles you will need to deal with if you move from the U.S. to France. You will probably not end up with a large group of French friends, especially if you are not fluent in French. But Paris can be a charming, exciting, and addictive place to live.

This gorgeous book took me on a rare journey of daily life in Paris as only a Mum could tell it. A beautiful mix of autobiography, travel guide, foodie journal, and cultural insights. Please share more with us Jane!

I met Jane by chance on the metro to Giverny in June, 2012, and was eager to purchase the new book she was working on. It has not been released yet, but I found this one on an Amazon "suggestion", and ordered it right away. I could not put the book down! I could relate so well to the places and situations she wrote about in Paris after being there yself for the first time. I found it so captivating and interesting, and I want to go back to Paris again and again. This book is helping me enormously in the meantime! I definitely recommend Jane Paech and this wonderful book!

Wonderful pictures along with enticing short stories of living in Paris. It describes day to day situations that a non-native would run into. If you enjoy travel and Paris this is beautifully written narrative.
