Where to begin? This book made me cry- which is good. It's certainly the first book from the Tera series that's done so.
The plot in of it's self has a pretty expected scenario. Young warrior tries to prove self- ends up mucking things up and begins to regret it. The normal sha-bang. What made me give Fanatic such high marks was how fast the story got me to emotionally connect with the desperation of the main character.
The main character doesn't really need to prove herself- she wants to- and has such drive to do so that it ends up getting her into a mighty fine situation. Even so, she still does her best to own those mistakes; and I as the reader can respect her for that- even if her actions were a bit uncalled for I was still rooting for her to find peace in the end.
The ending has left me a bit conflicted, but that's more than likely just me. So I hand it off to you to be the judge of it all- I loved it.
Having said that, it was still a likeable story and at only $0.99 was a good read.
