I enjoyed this book for the most part. I do wish that the happy part at the end was a bit longer because there was so much time spent dragging out Nick pining for Shelby and Shelby being too scared and having her guard up. I didn't fully understand why. I did not realize this book was part of a series so I have not read any of the others so maybe if I had, I'd have a better background of the characters.

This is the sixth book in the Kiss and tell series but can also be read as a stand-alone. I have not read the other books in the series.. but after reading this I can’t wait to start from the beginning of the series.

I loved seeing the relationship between Nick and Shelby play out. After a hookup at Nick’s brothers wedding they start up a relationship. With Shelby having commitment issues she of course panics and ends the relationship. When they unexpectedly run into each other they find that they are still head over heels for each other. Which leads to Nick scheming to get Shelby back.

I really love Shelby and Nick as a couple. And found myself continuously rooting for them. I mean who doesn’t love when a hook up turns into love? This book was a really quick, fun read and is a clean romance. Now I am off to binge the rest of the series.

When Nick enters a bridal salon with his cousin, he's shocked to see ex-girlfriend Shelby there in a wedding gown. He realizes he's never gotten over her. Discovering she was there for a modeling job, he decides it's time to win her back, before it's too late. But Shelby, who grew up with a narcissistic mother and an absent father, doesn't believe love is in the cards for her. Can he convince her to open her heart?

I really liked Nick and Shelby. They've got good chemistry, and Nick is devoted to her, despite how skittish she is. His family also play a large role. This is a book about supporting the ones you love through difficulties, and finding that place where you belong. It's well written and well paced, with a strong plot and characters. While it's the sixth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

Cute Read! Part of A Series Book 6

I am a sucker for a book with a cute illustrated cover, and this one was no exception! I didn't realize until I finished reading this, but it is actually part of a series "Kiss and Tell" and is book #6. I was able to read it as a standalone but I wish that I knew about the other 5 books as I usually always have to read books in order if it is a series. This is a second chance romance where the MCs had great banter and chemistry. It was a really cute read!

Nick is still hung up on Shelby even after two years apart so when he has the opportunity to try to win her back, he goes for it. The secondary characters help make this story and the way Nick never gives up on Shelby just melts my heart. I loved the ending to this story. It was just perfect. This author’s writing style made the book just flow and I could not put it down.

Nick and Shelby’s story is book 6 in a series that I haven’t read nor will I go back and read the other 5. As a stand-alone it was an okay story with some side characters that clearly had been better explained previously.

Nick is the troublemaker of his family that now that he’s met the right girl wants to settle down, aggressively so. Shelby is the kid from the broken family whose sworn to never settle. Who wins in their battle of wills?

Honestly it would have been an okay read if it weren’t for the authors weird prose. The one statement that just was the final straw was when Shelby compared Nick complementing her seemingly run down apartment to saying that Minneapolis looked nice after the riots. Yikes. Like this could have been the best book ever and that would have been a tough sell

I loved being able to return to the Kiss and Tell series! The Chamberlain brothers have won me over with their individual stories and this one was no different with Nick's story. I also liked returning to Emily and her roommates to see how their lives have continued since college. Christy Hayes writes characters that are relatable and it is like the reader is hanging with their best friends. Shelby was always a mystery and I enjoyed getting to know her story and backstory more. The setting was so immersive that I felt like I was driving down the streets of Atlanta throughout this story. This story was so heartwarming and a perfect continuation. I would love to continue reading about these characters as they navigate their next phases of life.

I’ve read several of her other books and I love that they can be read as standalone books too!
I truly enjoyed watching the relationship between Shelby and Nick unfold. They unexpectedly started a relationship after hooking up at Nick’s brother’s wedding, but Shelby panicked and quickly called things off. I adored the quirky misunderstanding that Christy Hayes set up as their post break up run in.
I love that this was quick and light read but kept my attention, I am already looking forward to the next book!
