THE Best Farcry in perhaps almost a decade

Having been seriously burned by both 4 and 5 when compared against my experiences with 1 and 3, I completely overlooked this game due to expectations being low. After my friend got it on a whim and showed me some gameplay changes, I bit the bullet and went in myself.

Guns finally feel diverse. Removing skills from an redundant experience system that felt more tedious than rewarding and instead assigning them to mods and gear makes those slight tweaks between players that much more impactful. A story devoid of some preconceived notion that you are doing the right thing while acknowledging you actually are just acting in retaliation to a totalitarian regime and sort of reveling in the chaos that comes with overthrowing it makes the tone much closer to the 1st and 3rd entries. A Modding system that feels pleasantly meaningful , either giving you the right changes to make a weapon suit your play style or feeding into the build from your gear, going loud or quiet hasn’t felt this good in a long time… all of this companied with the AI/direction of programming being the most complex and engaging it’s ever been? This is not only a great entry for newcomers but for those long burned by recent iterations.

Give it a go if you like what you’ve seen in gameplay, you won’t regret it. I wish Ubisoft was putting out more titles this well produced… excluding the handful of bugs that have resulted in me screaming endlessly because the game still thinks I’m on fire or more fun ones like slamming into a soldado humvee at top speeds causing it to launch into orbit around the planet.

I’m a huge Far Cry fan but extremely disappointed in Far Cry 6. It’s horrible. The graphics are great but gameplay is not fun. You kill everyone at a base only to get ambushed by 12 more even though alarm never went off. You can spend an hour trying to take over a base and then die by something simple and you need to start over from the start. Save your money. This game sucks.

I love the farcry series but don't change a good thing. It reminds me of Duke Nukem. Leave a good thing alone. I played 33 minutes in one spot only to get killed and start all over. You idiots at Ubisoft should have enough time to make this game great. I can't save when I want to and I have to find gun powder to upgrade weapons. Come on. Farcry primal was ten times better. Please put the controller down before it goes thru your TV. Not the worst farcry yet but close.

Although I’m enjoying the open world and all the toys you can get in the game, I’m struggling to really have fun with this game because of one core problem: the computer controlled bad guys. They never miss, they see you from a mile away, they spawn out of nowhere, and basically it’s like fighting a superhuman force. I think they skimped on the AI

Haven't played this too much so far.. It's fun. But these are definitely NOT Ps5 graphics. So I think selling a Ps5 version is disingenuous. It implies that this version is made to take advantage of the systems capabilities... Other than loading faster.. It's doesn't. So buyer beware.

So many negative reviews. I have to say that 3 blew my mind. Amazing game. Revolutionary for the time. I also love Primal in that it was different. 4, 5 and new Dawn I could not get into. 6 adds a beautiful new world to run around in and it doesn't feel like a chore. The story and characters are great, the rpg elements and loot are great. Very happy I purchased this. Best experience since 3 and primal.

Great voice acting, world is gorgeous, lots of great vehicles and weapons. Larger focus on customizing weapons for enemy encounters, positive is that a lot of awesome stuff is available early game, hopefully not super repetitive but time will tell.
