Finally a permaculture book for kids! My boys ages 3 & 4 both love this book. -Desiree Hoffman
From the Author
My co-author and I wanted to create a fun picture book to introduce kids to sustainable farming and permaculture design. When we wrote the original manuscript, we wrote two narratives, one that rhymed and one that didn't. We tested both with the intended audience. The kids much preferred the rhyming narrative.
In addition to being fun and informative, we embedded a monarch butterfly in each scene. This idea came directly from my childhood. My favorite book was Cars and Trucks and Thing's That Go by Richard Scarry. I actually thought the name of that book was Goldbug, because as as a kid I loved to find that tiny golden bug embedded in the pictures long after I lost interest in the story.

Phil has created a masterpiece. It all begins with our children and parents making them aware of the earth, nature and our place within it. This well illustrated childrens book will hold their attention while allowing their curious young minds to absorb and learn about nature. Permaculture is the way forward to repairing our damage to the soil and water - all while feeding the masses and doing it profitably! Highly recommended book......
