Then two months in one of the on/ off switches stopped working. It just spun without clicking. I messaged about the issue and the seller was apologetic and responsive, sent a replacement right away. Unfortunately the replacement was packaged REALLY badly and it arrived completely busted. Like, the iron frame was broken. I messaged the seller again; they apologized and sent us a refund and said we could keep the good lamp and discard the broken ones. Apparently they had several complaints about packaging issues causing damage to the lamps, and they did not want to try to send a new replacement.
Not wanting to totally give up on the lamps because they are exactly what we wanted style wise, I went to YouTube to see how hard it is to replace a lamp switch. OMG. It’s not that hard. It’s also not that hard to switch the wires around so that the lights turn on in the order I want them to. One YouTube video and an hour later, the broken lamp functions great again. I did accidentally damage part of it while fixing so quality of the inner parts is definitely not the best (in addition to one of them breaking so soon).
Overall, the design is super cute, the company was excellent to work with, but the quality and durability long term is bad. And if you get a defective one, you probably won’t get a replacement shipped to you in one piece.
