I finished this book today and I don't have the words to express how much I love it. KA may have gotten her wings in Deep End but she learned to soar with this one. The story is just so genuine and the emotions are felt with every word. And just an aside, one of the most interesting and dramatic starts to a KA book in awhile. Almost like the Golden Dynasty's start. All action and drama.
If you are a KA fan- this is required reading. It's everything we love in KA but I would say it's so well written it's going to rival the favorites like Joe, Tack, Tate... Ty.... Branch and his Angie have earned a top slot for sure ❤️
Evangeline has stepped away from The Honey Club after an incident occurred there, and Branch makes her an offer she can't refuse. From the outset Branch is very remote and withdrawn and does his best to remain detached. On the other hand, Evangeline is majorly attracted to him, and decides to try and make their relationship last for as long as Branch allows. This story has a little more intrigue to it, as we learn about Branch, his history, and how he became the man that he is.
Two amazing broken people, finding each other, exploring their sexual needs. KA doesn't shy away from anything. It's evident in this story. You always expect the best, and she just raises the bar. KA always weaves these meticulous stories, you just soak it up.
I am so happy I read this series, despite the warnings that made me a little nervous. One thing I know for sure is that my faith in Kristen Ashley to write something, anything, and make it good and worthwhile is not for waste. This is why she is an automatic buy for me.
Now I know some of the KA fans aren't too taken with her departure from the typical KA books but I'm so darn proud of KA for mixing things up!
I've been a KA fan since her first books hit Amazon and I'll continue my utter devotion for any books that came from her imagination.
I love how easily her character's dialogue flows, how she describes things in such detail that you can paint pictures in your mind.
Kudos, my KA! Can't wait to see what the next books bring to your fellow devoted fans who are Kit Crack (books) Addicted.
