My 11 year old grandson came to me and asked what I know about the Voyager spacecraft. I was able to answer a few basic questions and was delighted to find this. Very informative and not difficult to understand. Highly recommended.

For any space nerds out there, this is a must have. I don't know what made us watch this on Netflix, but last year we watched it with our then-4-y-o. It has since become his movie obsession lol and even the rest of our family is really into it. We ordered the dvd for his birthday present, and needless to say, his first exclamation was "Voyager!!!!!"

I've seen several documentaries, and this one truly takes the cake. The interviews with the scientists are fantastic. Most of the scientists have some incredible insights not only into space, but into humanity and our existence in such an enormous universe.

The music choices were spot-on, and placed at perfect moments throughout the documentary. The visual effects could rival any modern space movie- like Passengers or The Martian.

I've watched this movie over 100 times, and I have never gotten tired of it, never been bummed that that's the movie my kid wants to watch for the evening, and still get just as captivated as the first time we watched it.

    Is that Carl Sagan's son!?

Full disclosure, I kind of geek-out over space stuff. But really this is an amazing documentary. Its not so sciency as it could be...it relates peoples personal stories about working on the Voyager missions from inception, to the end of the solar system. And yes, among them is Carl Sagan's son who's voice IS on the Voyager's famous gold record.

The Voyager missions were inspiring and breath taking and this documentary captures that spirit.

Even if you have the smallest interest in the space stuff, watch this film. Recommend!

My brother-in-law, Jim Long, was project manager on the Grand Tour/Voyager project. He worked at JPL until his untimely death. I am praying Voyager, after leaving our galaxy, has caught up with him in the outer regions and heaven. I pray NASA let's it play out on it's own and don't stop audio transmissions. It was a thrill, as a young teen, getting updates from NASA; We were visiting JPL in Pasadena during Encounter in or around July of '76 when Io was discovered (one of Jupiter's 4 moons), with volcanic eruptions. Long live the grand tour. It surpassed and surprised all of them.

Fantastic! - I never thought, in all my 88 years, that I would see live pictures of Jupiter, Saturn, etc----but now I have. And the presentation is superb. Incredible. I only hope the current US political scene doesn't screw up the future of the space program, just lets it run.....

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the greatest exploration of our solar system to date

This is an outstanding documentary featuring both the scientists involved and the technologists as well. It's the greatest exploration of our solar system to date...(The Cassini and New Horizons spacecraft filled in more details years later) It's well recommended for anyone interested in our solar system and our civilization.

Such a well done documentary on the voyager satellites 🛰. Their conception, construction and launch. Then of course the data, and then the pictures and new information.
