“3 F’s . . . Fun, Fashion, and Feminine . . . an easy read and a permanent smile.”
–DIANE VON FURSTENBERG, designer
“Imagine a book that tells you not only what designers to wear, but how to pronounce them! Not only what time to arrive, but what to do once you get there! This is an indispensable guide to worshiping at the throne of fashion and fabulousness. J’adore it!”

The book is amusingly written; the authors eloquently describe the adrenaline high of finding a jazzy item. But the text and photos do not convey that the individual items they rave about fit into any coherent style. In fact several outfits pictured in the book look very amateurish and the T-shirt slashing gimmicks come across like a rainy-day project for 8th grade girls.
The photos (and descriptions) of the girls' mothers, however, tell a different story. These ladies really seem to have an eye for glamour! I wish that the two moms had written a book on style.
You can love fashion and you can LIVE fashion. Fashionistas are the latter ilk. If you can't tell the difference between a Choo and a Lou at 100 paces, then this book isn't for you.
At times satirical, at times serious, this book encapsulates everything the fashionista needs to know - whether you're a teenage amateur searching for your own style, or a well-seasoned pro at picking out your Jimmy Choo's. Not only is this book fun, but it's actually PRACTICAL!! (like the one section in which they teach you how to correctly pronounce the names of well-known fashion designers - it's Verr-sah-chie not Ver-says!) So fun and so true - Karen and Melissa dare to say what is secretly going through everyone's minds, while maintaining a fun and not-too-serious attitude.
If you've ever wanted to know the difference between a shift and a sheath, or a Kelly and a Birkin- or if you just want a fun, hilarious read - BUY THIS BOOK!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!

I agree that these women are not fashionistas. They are just women who watched too many Sex and the City and thinks they are authorities on fashion. Read morePublished on January 3, 2006 by Sennie
