The way she sets scenes and conveys emotions is something many authors can only dream about. Her imagery and ways of drawing the reader in the heads and hearts or her characters makes this book worth reading not once or twice but more often. And this is coming from someone who hates to read true romantic books. In this one however the author held me captivated by the lives and love of her main characters as if it were me. And by doing so she had me living this romance and feeling everything the main character did.
My only complaint would be that the ending came a bit too abrupt. I would have liked to know how matters with Mike and Jennie were resolved and if Rod and Mandy truly lived happily ever after.
I know I'm repeating myself, but I absolutely fell in love with this book and will certainly look for the other titles this author has available.
A heartfelt, sweet story, this book will take you on the emotional roller coaster ride of a woman who steps out of her comfort zone in order to take a chance and follow her heart. I haven't read a romance novel in years, but this one was a great re-introduction to the genre. The author does a wonderful job of portraying the true emotions of someone in this situation, including passion, guilt, excitement, dread , and worry.
Fast Movin' Train is real life in a book. It's a story about long-married people falling in love outside their marriages and trying to overcome daunting obstacles in order to be together. Both the woman and the man are torn and guilt-ridden about what damage they know they must do in order to preserve their precious love. Will they finally be able to break the shackles binding them to the past and find the happiness we know they deserve?
In order to find out if Mandy and Rod can hack their way through the jungle of complications implicit in their quest for release from society's bonds, I suggest you get yourself a copy and dive into this captivating novel.
