The Glu-Bot is the only glue bottle that will not drip or spill. The Glu-Bot will put the glue where you want it... and only where you want it. The easy-squeeze bottle features a unique two-chamber design that pulls the glue back after squeezing to eliminate dripping. This same design allows the Glu-Bot to be the first glue bottle to make vertical application easy and without drips. Glue level remains high even when the bottle is running low. Comes packed with one Yorker- and one Blade-style tip.
From the Manufacturer
The Glu-Bot from FastCap is the ideal dispensing bottle for most types of glues or solvents. This glue bottle feeds from the bottom, so you never have a problem with the the surface "skinning" over and clogging the tip. When you are done applying the glue line and release pressure on the bottle, the resulting suction action finishes off your glue line with no drips or mess. The 16-ounce size is great for the woodworker and hobbyist alike. Comes packed with one Yorker- and one Blade-style tip.
Top Customer Reviews
But I heartily recommend it nevertheless. Glue up is a race against the clock. The ergonomics of this gluebot make it much much easier to distribute various amounts as you see fit where you see fit. If you keep it mostly full, dispensing the glue is a very responsive affair. I would not call the quart dispensing option "responsive" but rather "usable".
The opening into which you pour more glue when it's getting low is nice and wide and permits you to pour very naturally from the gallon glue.
The spigot stays clean and is easily opened and shut and although it's not pictured, mine (May 2015) came with a little tether that runs from the red cap you see in the picture to the top, so it can't get lost and moreover the red cap attaches to the roud yellow top when you're gluing, so it doesn't get in the way either,
The shape of thing is such that it's not top heavy, meaning you're not going to knock it over or have trouble balancing it when you put it away.
All these small things make this nice to have. OK it's not mandatory, but the speed and surety with which you can dispense glue and really helps a lot to ensure that you're all done putting your pieces together before the glue has started to set.
****Update 4/11/2017: After finally getting around to figuring out why my Glu-Bot was not working properly I realized I had glue clogging the inside of the tip which prevented the Glu-Bot from dispensing glue as expected. I cleaned out the tip using a zip-tie to get in there and remove the dried/clumpy glue. I placed fresh glue in the bottle and now it works as intended. I definitely would recommend the FastCap Glu-Bot Glue Bottle.
Though it comes with additional tips the base one is terrific and very useable. You'll have to trim the main tip as it comes with a graduated opening you can trim as desired. I trimmed at the first level as I don't want too much glue at once and tend to use on edge of 3/4" ply in cabinet builds. The tip is elongated so you can use in with position for a fine, or more spread, glue application.
Love that the rubber cover fits easily on the bottle AND comes with its own lanyard so easy to keep covered and not mislay during use.
My first glue bottle but vastly preferable to the standard out of the bottle. Used to have to clean, or strip, the harder glue off the glue bottle tip before using. With this bottle there is no such issue, so I would imagine use less glue since none 'escapes' to harden at the tip. Easy to hold in your hand, and glue flows freely. Well worth the investment!
