LOW QUALITY. It broke into two pieces yesterday when we were lifting a glass aquarium that is about 80lbs. The fist tank dropped on my foot and I'm in severe pain. If you go cheap on suction cups then you may have to spend on replacing the broken glass or granite stone. It is dangerous product. My fish tank is bottom up without the bottom glass as the tempered glass broke into million pieces. see photos. I lost $1000. My loss that no one will compensate.

Good at first, then lost its grip

I bought one of these about six months ago to handle a large glass coffee table top. When it arrived I would have given it five stars as it worked fine then. I needed it again this week and there was no suction at all from either end. I can't exactly see why, it has to be something to do with the rubber ageing as it affects both ends equally, but now this would not pick up a paper bag weight piece of glass. It has been in our air conditioned house all this time, so it wasn't caused by being stored in a hot shed or garage.

I also have a Roth double grip that I acquired around the same time and stored in the same cupboard. That still works perfectly. However, I don't think that's listed on Amazon.

Got the job done

I bought these for one specific job, moving unsafe, untempered, poorly installed glass panels, 32"x 80" x 5/16" thick glass sheets weighing in excess of 50 lbs from an upper deck. They did perform that job, but I did not have full confidence in them.

When I first got them, I did not need them right away, and I stored them on my highly glossed surfboards, and they rarely fell or lost suction. After completion of the job which I bought them for 2 weeks later, they fall off the board within hours. They are clean, the surf board is clean, they are attached to the same exact sections of the SB's, they just do not hold suction as well as before they performed the one job I bought them for.

While they never slipped off the glass panels(I'd be in the hospital if they did) I noticed that they really needed coaxing to seal completely to the glass, by pressing down on each individual suction cup, then moving the lever. Sometimes two cycles, pressing harder the second time before it looked like they were sealing symmetrically from the other side of the glass. No way would I have the confidence to just press them against the glass, flip the lever and lift.

Sometimes I'd leave them attached to the glass panels after removing them, only to return to remove them an hour later to find one cup, or both had lost suction and only friction was holding them on. Not confidence inspiring. I had wiped the glass clean before installing them

Still, they Have to be better than harbor freight's similarly priced offerings and they were delivered incredibly promptly, as is usual with Amazon Prime in my experience.

Cheap construction

Bought a pair of these to aid in hanging some relatively small (3'x5') mirrors in a bath remodel.
The first one had the plastic tab to lock down the suction cup snap right off on the first use. Amazon promptly replaced it, and the other 2 are working ok. I am still a bit skeptical of the quality, and only use these with a helper. Always make sure to still have one hand physically on the glass, and I don't trust these to hold the glass completely. I would not try to pick a piece of horizontal glass straight up depending only on these. They are certainly not a professional grade product, or the kind that have a vacuum built up by pressing a button, but it will be fine for small scale homeowner/diy jobs.

Can't recommend this product. It doesn't hold very well. It has too much play in the design. I bought a different brand for $4 more and it was significantly better then this HOD brand. I would not buy this again. The suction cup already started tearing after just a few uses. Cheap plastic design. it might work if you are going to set and forget it. But if you are going to keep using it, it won't last more then a few uses.

I bought this to use on my laminate wood flooring. I own a house built in the 50's and the floors aren't perfectly humpless. Some of my laminate flooring that was newly put down a couple of years ago, started separating slightly, as I suspected it would. I didn't realize it would drive me crazy but, it did. I had seen a guy on YouTube use one of these handles as a tool to slide laminate panels back together. I thought it was brilliant so I gave it a try. It worked! The guy suggested a rubber mallet to tap the handle once it was secured to a panel, to gently move the panels together. I didn't have a rubber mallet and used a regular hammer and a sock to "tap" on the handle. I probably had a total of 7-8 cracks to fix and I broke the handle on the last two; its plastic. Hey, I'm still happier than I was! Great tool for a great price. It was awesome how strong the suction was! Yes, maybe I should have ordered a metal one, or ordered a rubber mallet for this one. Next time....

Worked great with a large pane of glass

I bought two of these for my attempt to reseal fogged sliding doors. After separating and cleaning the two panes of glass, it was time to reseal them. I ran a bead of silicone along the spacer, then had to lay a 3x7 sheet of glass onto it with total precision. After a disastrous effort to lower the glass by hand, resulting in badly smeared silicone, I realized I needed a suction handle to have any shot at making it work. These gripped the glass very well, making it easy to lower slowly and carefully. I'm really pleased with how well they worked, and I can foresee lots of other projects where they'll be useful.
