The book provides many medical facts and health tips on fasting and I find the content very valuable. The book provides research topics of fasting as well. This book provided me information on the practice of asceticism, well known as one of the oldest spiritual disciplines. If anyone needs to have a clear understanding on the topic of fasting I recommend this book not only for beginners but also for researchers on the subject as well.
The book is exceptional in regard to much information it encompasses while still being expressed in a clear, comprehensible way that the average reader can understand. It’s evident throughout the read that many hours of time and research have gone into laying the foundation for the ideas and concepts that the author makes in this book, and there are countless scientific sources mentioned that back up each of the aforementioned. As a natural skeptic and a person who often loves to indulge in further reading, I found this to be a great addition the book and it is one of the many reasons why I have not only enjoyed the read but also taken a lot of value from it. Author Randi Fredricks has left me more than satisfied!
