The Easter Bunny brought my son this fabulous toy, and though I thought at first he might be a little old for it at five, it was a hit. There is enough going on with the interconnective blocks and endless possibilities that I think it works for a wide age range, making this a great value for purchase during that first year. They'd probably do well on conference tables for meetings as even adults are more productive brainstormers when they have something interesting to play with. And of course they would be great in the classroom.

The blocks are well made of renewable rubber wood and and Twig comes with its own cotton bag for storage. Toys always get huge points from me for addressing the storage issue and the bag is functional and cute.

I love the open ended play concept and Twig is perfect for building brain power and creativity and good old fashioned fun with a modern twist.

We initially saw these blocks at a children's play museum. My son was fascinated with them and spent nearly half an hour playing away, not interested in any of the other attractions around! At 2.5 years old he couldn't get enough!
So for his 3rd birthday we purchased these. My 6 year old daughter also likes playing with them. They really spark imagination, creativity, and spacial reasoning skills! Plus, they are durable, eco-friendly, and came in a nice simple box- no crazy packaging to contend with.
My son has a love of blocks- we have lego duplos, wood blocks, rubber blocks, fabric blocks, block puzzles, etc, but these are the ones that he always comes back to!

This toy is awesome. . . for my husband and I, my child has had little interest. At 2.5 yrs he has a hard time putting the long rectangular blocks into the larger square ones. The square isn't perfectly square and so sometimes you have to turn the blocks to make them fit into one another. I also thought it was worth mentioning that these blocks "bleed" a little bit when damp from sweaty hands. This is concerning for us since these blocks are made in China. The company has a clean record so far though, so hopefully they are "truly" non-toxic. I didn't return them, but will be putting them up for when my son is older and more dexterous. They are a lot of fun for us and hopefully will be for my child in the future.

I bought these blocks to have at grandma's house and was so excited to get them after reading all the great reviews. I was a little surprised that they were a little bit rough, but not a big deal. My grandson (3 years) loves blocks so I was anxious to see how these would go over. He really liked building with them....pretty basic stuff at 3, but the potential is there for many years to come. My disappointment came when his little sister grabbed an orange block and put it in her mouth. Her face and hands were immediately orange! Although I am totally sad to return these blocks, I can't justify keeping them if the paint comes off, even if they claim that it's non-toxic. Otherwise a great toy. I hope they find a solution to the paint issue....I would buy them again.

I'm a teacher and recently bought this "manipulative" for my classroom of 3 to 6 year olds. WOW....it's the most popular thing in the classroom! All the children really enjoy building simple and complex structures with it. There seems to be endless design possibilities. The children keep amazing me with their continual curiosity and interest in building new and original designs. We have to use a timer since so many children want a turn to use it!

We love these blocks. We have had them for nearly a year. All pieces are still in good condition. I got these last year as a toy for both my boys. My youngest at the time loved to nest things. My oldest could build with maga bocks and use over 100 pieces like it was nothing. I got these because I felt it would force him to think a bit more as he is building. Make it a bit more challenging then straight forward maga blocks. A year later they still love them! Every child that comes here (I run a home daycare) LOVE these. No matter their age.

I purchased these blocks for my four year old son after reading so many positive reviews on this site. He enjoys building with Legos and K'nex so I figured these would be a big hit as well. Unfortunately, he spent about 15 minutes playing with them and he hasn't touched them since, despite my keeping the blocks out for constant access.

I haven't noticed the bleeding effect that other reviews were complaining about when the blocks get wet. They're also quite durable. They've already taken quite a bit of abuse with no signs of wear. The bag is also a thoughtful inclusion and the pieces fit in there easily. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The blocks don't appear to be designed with any sense of stability in mind. The other blocks fit directly inside the biggest blocks so there's no way to keep them snugly in there without using one of the many stick blocks for support. Unfortunately, once you do this, the whole structure gets off balance and you can't stack it more than a few blocks high. Sure there are some possibilities with keeping the blocks on the floor, but the toy boasts of endless ways to interlock the blocks which simply isn't true. It's finite at best. Additionally, what's the point of having the square block with the circular inside? There are no other blocks that compliment this design. You cannot fit anything smoothly within the circle - the only thing you can do is just sit it on top of a structure, and how is that fun?

These blocks weren't that expensive and there are quite a bit of them so the purchase wasn't a total loss. But for someone who was expecting something different and unique, I was very disappointed.
