5 Heart ReviewOk, so I love this series. I've loved all the books so far, but this one so far is my favorite, because smartass Arne finally met his match and I laughed my ass off so hard at how he got paid back for his mouth. It is absolutely the funniest thing ever. Oh, I was waiting for this one... But the end has me in suspense. It's not necessarily a cliffhanger. There's an HEA. But the others have been dispatched to find remaining druids and after this closing of the veil, they got a surprise that shook them all to their core. So, I'm ready to see what's next. Love the enemies to lovers trope, but these characters were flat

I wish that Dermot was more fleshed out, as a character, in this book than he was. There really wasn't any significant character development for either Arne or Dermot, which I found disappointing. We found out about Dermot's past, but why did he chose to become a pacifist? How was Dermot so proficient with his power without practicing? Why didn't he show any surprise at coming into his power without going through the ritual? Why couldn't the team have gone back to Colorado as soon as they found out about the efficacy of probs to keep the Unseelie pets away? Can't Cullen form a tornado? And what if that tornado is filled with fire? Wouldn't that have an impact on the things coming through the Veil?

Least favorite so far....

I've enjoyed books 1-3, but I wasn't all that enchanted with Fatal Frost. Arne has always been my least favorite viking, and he did very little to change that. I also found Dermot my least favorite druid, so far. One is a sarcastic a$$, while the other is a bit of a self righteous jerk. Guess it's a match made in heaven.
I did enjoy the advancement of the overall story line, and found Gillie to be just adorable as Bryce - too darn cute!
The steam level in this one is also down - they didn't even kiss until past the 80% mark on my Kindle!
I also struggled with an increasing number of grammar/editing issues that pushed me out of the story one time too many for me to ignore.

I'm still heading off to read book five - I have high hopes that things will improve!

Enemies to lovers vibe...

Fatal Frost is the fourth book in the Druid's Curse series by Shea Balik. This book has a bit of an enemies to lovers feel about it, an opposite attraction vibe...Arne and Dermot do not mesh well at first... but fated love doesnt give up so easy. The action is high, the drama is alive, the humor is brought and the romance is inevitable. What will the next book lead?

this is probably not my favorite so far but i did still enjoy it.. my problem is the characters didnt hit it for me.. i enjoyed the plot.. and these characters apart but together i'm not sure. it wasn't bad and it is necessary for the series and i am glad i read it and yes i would recommend it to others just not my favorite. but it was a good story.

Dark and dangerous. Things take a twist for the worst as a new Druid meets his warrior. I really enjoyed the characters and their banter with one another. I loved the new twists and can’t wait to see what happens next.

I do think I've laugh so much. These to are funny, make you shake your head and laugh. Non of those story are alike but are in always. I'm just in love with this series.
