This was such an emotionally charged book for me. The raw feelings that these characters bring out in this book are not only intense, but they are real. You feel the hurt, the pain, and the relentless way they beat their selves up because of the people they are with. It is hard to come to terms with people that only think about themselves and forget there are other people in the equation. So trying to come back from heartbreak can either make you stronger or destroy you. I really loved how this story started out. How Sam's brother bought her a vacation and she decided to go on her own to London. Fate brings her to Ben that is going to sit right by her on the plane. Not knowing that they are going to be living in the same town, they strike a conversation up in the plane. There is tons of chemistry and unfortunately no one makes the first move and the leave the plane and say goodbye. Now I'm not one to retell the story the only reason is because I am one that believes in fate. I believe things happen for a reason. You meet people because they are meant to be in your life and that is how I felt when Sam and Ben met. They are both at a point in their lives where they can stay put in their lives and be miserable, or the can move on, find themselves and find someone that is going to make them happy. Sam just came out of a relationship that the guy was her childhood sweetheart. Years were spent and it was thrown away in one weekend. How do you recover? Sam is trying. She is such a great person. She treats everyone kind and she works hard. She needs to find her way and she is trying to figure that out. Ben has not even looked at a woman since his divorce from Gwen. She has not some horrible things to him and his son. He is not sure if he will be able to trust again. He's trying to make amends with his son Lincoln in London and he so happens to find this carefree woman sitting right next to him. He feels the chemistry, but hes afraid to act on it. So after the plane ride they go their separate ways. Fortunately another fated encounter puts them back together. This time they act on it and they have a night they will never forget. But some unforseen circumstances happen and Ben has to leave without saying goodbye and never calls. Sam is devastated and when she goes home she is hurt. But everything happens for a reason and all I have to say is when you have a teen that tears up a yard, a rake, and other gardening tools, fate really wants you to be with that person. They are thrown together in a situation that is so different that I loved it. But it is not all lovey dovey and there is so many uphill battles in this relationship, you don't know if they will make it. Secrets are terrible if you can't trust the person that you are with to share them with. Trust will have to given and tested. Some stories will have to be told so they can move on with each other, but it will all depend on them. Can they give themselves completely after being hurt so badly in the past. These two have to be the two strongest characters that I have read in a long time. What they had to endure would have had me running for the hills. No one deserves to be treated the way they were treated. Love is suppose to be unconditional, so when you have that broken its hard to find it again. I was completely all in on this book. It makes you feel that fate is out there. You just have to believe and forgive so you can move on and live your life at the fullest.
This was a great story. I loved this author. I am actually going to go back and read the first book of this series. You can read this one without knowing what happened in it, but I really want to read Grey and Clara's story. I think it would be intense like Sam and Ben and I like knowing all the characters in the books that I'm reading. I can't wait to read another story from this author. I will be recommending this book to my friends.
Sam and Ben meet on an airplane trip to London. Their attraction is instantanious, but they go their separate ways when they leave the airport.
A chance meeting in London brings them together again and they decide to act on their attraction. They both know it will be an one time thing.
The next morning, Sam wakes up alone with a note from Ben saying that they'll meet again that evening. But Ben doesn't appear and Sam can't get in touch with him. She decides to continue her trip through England the next day.
The day she returns home, Sam has the biggest surprise of her life: Ben is the new doctor in town.
When he realizes that he has a chance to make up to Sam and explain everything to her, Ben pursues a relationshi with her. But Sam has been burn in the past and Ben has a lot of secrets.
Can they build a relationship together?
Fated Bliss is a fantastic book, full of drama, laughter, angst, steamy scenes, and twists. I couldn't stop reading!
I loved Sam! She is so sassy and witty! She is an independent woman, very strong, fierce, sweet, loyal, and protective. I loved her relationship with her brother.
I want Ben to be my doctor! He has been through a lot. But he does everything he can to protect the ones he loves, especially Lincoln. He is very sweet and kind, but also very protective and possessive. I loved his dominat side!
This is my first book written by Cassie Strickland and she didn't disappoint. Her writing style is flawless and she is able to hook the reader from the first page.
Now I really need to read Gray and Clara's story and I want Adam and Chelsea's story!
There was action, suspense, and the characters were not boring but this story seemed to drag on and on way longer than it should've in my opinion. I got bored with it about halfway through it but I always like to finish the book because maybe something will change and the book will turn out pretty good. This was one that I probably should've just stopped when it quit being interesting.
I would gladly read another book written by this author because just because I didn't like one, doesn't mean I won't like a different one. But this one just didn't agree with me.
Sam is on tough woman. She's been though a bad relationship and now wants to move on, she's such an open and loving person.
These two meet on a plane ride and it turns into a one night stand. Neither thinking they would see each other again. However Bliss has other plans for them all.
I'm loving this series and can't wait to see what happens next in Bliss.
This author is a truly talented author with a great mind.
