Fates Mistake had me on an emotional roller coaster. It shows that one act of kindness and just one person can change you for the better. Kinley is an abused wife. It happens all to often in today's society. She's made to be the perfect wife. Her body has to be just right, even though it's never good enough. One chance encounter at the gym with Danny, our oh-so-sexy hero. When he sees Kinley have a panic attack, he jumps in to help.
Danny gives her a number to an attorney that helps her get out. Kinley calls, tells her about all the evidence she has against him, and is ready for a way out.
Danny has is own baggage. Crazy ex-wife who is now claiming her child is his. Kinley shows up in his town and decides to stay a while. She falls in love with him and his son. I don't want to give too much away! But I could talk about this book for days. I cried. I laughed. I could not put it down. It brings light to the situation of Domestic Violence. And it shows that's there is always someone who is watching and knows. Mrs. Morrow, you ma'am are gifted! Thank you for sharing this with the world.

Wow, this book is amazing. I think Brandace Morrow is my new favorite author! The writing and the storytelling is amazing. I have read a lot of books lately, where the male main characters are abusive to their wife, but instead portraying them as bad men, the author's choose to redeem them, allowing the main female character to love them despite this abuse. Then all the readers fall in love with him too. I'm sorry, but that is just wrong! I love this book because, Kinley' s husband is abusive, he is a bad guy and never once does the author try to redeem him or make anyone love him. The story starts with Kinley married to Jeremy, who is abusive to her. He does terrible things to her, and she is broken emotionally. He makes her run 10 miles everyday on the treadmill at the gym. In fact, that is the only time she is allowed out of the house. Finally after 5 years of this, someone notices her at the gym and offers to help her.His name is Danny and he is her savior. A lot happens, and I could barely put it down. There is sadness, then there are struggles and healing, then laughter. There are some really funny laugh out loud parts. It is a very touching book. You have to read it, because it is awesome and refreshing!

Was really impressed for the first 70 percent...but the last 30 percent really went down the pooper....It was a real chore to finish it, and when I did, I really wasn't emotionally invested enough to care how it turned out.

I received this book as a gift from an amazing person who asked my opinion of this book .... Can I say Holy Jesus I didn't really know what this story was about but I started reading and I found myself hooked!!!

This is an amazing story about a woman named Kinley and she thought that she met the perfect man who she brought home to her parents who meant the world to her. Well Fate to guess was wrong there because she ended up living in hell for the next five years counting down the days til he killed her.......

Danny is an amazing hot country star who was also in a bad way and thought that he married the perfect woman a high school sweetheart but I guess what was wrong again .....

What happens when Fate decides that it made a mistake and corrects that mistake???? If you want to know then get this amazing book that you will not be able to put down oh yeah and a few shocking twist along the way that will have you saying WHAT!?! Oh and remember Deklan from Fan Girl yep you will see him again!!!

This book was by far one of the most emotional I have read in a while. Wiping tears from my eyes reading through the struggles and angst of feeling helpless in a situation or the situation of a loved one. The characters are developed beautifully and you cannot help but cheer for Kinsley as she discovers her own strength while leaving the reader completely terrified of what her situation has to offer. Throughout the book you're faced with true hate, real love and come to realize this isn't just a romance novel, it is a book of survival. People tell us life is survival of the fittest, but occatiobally your faced with the reality that the fittest may survive, but the will to live for the weakest is sometimes enough to make you do more than survive, it makes you thrive. Great story.

This book was all to real for me. It took you on so many twists and turns, you never really could predict what might happen next. That to me is rare in books today and as such, this should have more stars. The author paints a very vivid picture of what takes place to the main characters in the book.

reading to the point I could not put it down. Definitely worth a read…
Kinley, a quiet woman, seemingly invisible to the people around her, lives a life full of abuse. Until one day when someone ‘sees’ her. Danny finds the mousy Kinley running on the treadmill in the hotel gym, when he tries to talk to her she seems scared which put Danny on alert. He sees what she is hiding from everyone. He manages to talk to her alone, without anyone seeing them together. He gives her a get out card (from her marriage). He sees in her what he missed in his sister, which prompts him to help her. He gives her the phone number for his lawyer, offers to pay everything just to see she is safe from harm.
Finally when Kinley overhears her husband on the phone, she realises that she must leave. She finds the strength and courage to call the lawyer and put everything in motion.
After leaving town and hiding away from everyone she knows, she finds an unlikely friend in Lu. She keeps Kinley on her toes constantly.
Finally after Kinley’s husband is arrested and charged with multiple crimes, she finds the courage to set off to meet the man who saved her, Danny. They have spoken regular on the phone but that’s the total of the contact they have had since the day in the gym. She tries to repay his kindness (and money) but he will not hear of it. As circumstances change for both Danny and Kinley, Danny invites Kinley to stay at his home and take care of his young son.
There are many trying times for both Danny and Kinley as single people and as a couple whether it be friends or more. It’s a very emotional book from pretty much the start. It is well written with a few nice twists and turns which you don’t see coming!!! Brilliant.
