Well written but if you haven't read the first in the series, you may find yourself quite lost. It does leave you hanging.

This second book in the Blake Rossi series is every bit as good as the first and takes the saga several steps further. Blake's friend Gregori has been seriously injured and Blake must make a drastic decision if he wants to heal him. At the same time, new demons from Hell threaten to wreak havoc on the world and Blake is the only one capable of stopping them.
I particularly like the characters in this series. They may have supernatural powers but they still have the same weaknesses as mortal humans. They argue and spat but still respect each other. It is this believable interaction that makes this series more readable.
We also get to meet angels who work more or less hand-in-hand with the demons for what they perceive as a greater good. While Blake searches for the demon who killed his father, these angels attempt to stop him. Odd, but there is a method to their madness as the reader will discover.
An excellent read. Highly recommended.

So this was much better than the first!! Gregor was seriously injured in the first book and is wallowing in self pity. Blake is determined to help Gregor and also find his father. Blake is offered help from an unlikely place but it goes against everything he believes. I don't want to say too much more about what happens because it will be easy to spoil thing, but I will say that this is darker and secrets are revealed that makes me excited for the next one.
I loved book 1 because of the characters and I loved them even more here. Blake is struggling with a lot of things and what happens in this edition shocked both him and me :) The plot really starts to progress and things seem to be slotting into place. We see more Demons, we see more Angels and both Blake and Gregor seem to be an integral part of something big.
In all, this series has grown on me. While book one was good, this was better. Fast paced, exciting and captivating, it all adds up to me waiting impatiently for the next one to see what happens. The ending is a bit of a cliff hanger but I don't mind as I know I won't have to wait ages for book 2!!
Jake Urry is one of my favourite narrators. He has such a distinctive voice that he stands out from the crowd and that's what you want. He has plenty of tones and voices for the characters and he knows how to bring the atmosphere to life. I also have to applaud his tones for the demons, it gave me shivers.
I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

I think this was an excellent way to follow up the 1st book Demon Knight! I couldn't put it down! But you've got to read the 1st book to totally understand this one. I am loving the strange and unexpected twist that took place with Blake at the end and poor Gregor too! This book is really well written and I cannot wait for the next one! It's got so much going on and the imagery Ms White has painted in my mind is out of this world!! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys anything horror!!

This is book number two in The Blake Rossi Series. It is a scary book you could read as a standalone but it would be so much better if you read book number one Demon Knight first. Gregori was injured in book # 1. So Blake is helping Gregori. The storyline continues with believable and interesting characters. So many twists and turns. This book is narrated by Jake Urry and he keeps you on the edge of the seat. I recommend this book.

I totally enjoyed this horrific demon fiction especially the characters of Blake and Gregor and there are new characters in this book, you have to read Demon Knight first and this book is even better. Blake Rossi is an ex-communicated priest in search of Stephen (his father) with the help of Lance and Barabiel and even made pack with demon Dax. Cannot what to find out what happens next especially with Abaddon.

This series is fantastic! I was raised in the whole parochial, archdiocese, burn in hell world. Maybe that's why it's exciting for me to see Blake unwilling to just take the word of the very church that betrayed him. As he and Gregor learn more about themselves and their lineages it opens doors to so many plot twists that the friends can face. Please bring on book 3!
