This is a glossy, soft-close beauty. I prefer a wider, softer seat and will search carefully for a replacement when the time comes. Measure precisely; mine is .25" too short. I thought the size difference between round & elongated would have been greater. Will have to research @ Wal-Mart to verify.
Delta has a great reputation and this appears to be a fine product. Installation was easy; the toughest part was removing the old seat. I'm not sure what the clear plastic tabs are for but the protruding bumps helped me place them correctly before inserting the screws. The flat sides of the wing nuts made proper seating possible and hand-tightening was a breeze. I like Delta and will scope out the Wycliffe & Sanborne models.

103018 Update
The profile of the sest is too low and wreaking havoc on my knees. The lid is nice and thick but the seat is thinner than most standard seats and puts the user closer to the naked bowl. Soft-close is still the bomb, but I will have to find someway to sit higher and not tax my aching knees. Originally assigned ☆☆☆☆ due to length from front-to-back being too short and leaving edge of bowl exposed.

112618 Update: Google research shows standard toilet seat length to be 16.5" (elongated 18" & 18.5"). Why does Delta shorten the seat to 16.25" and NOT highlight the fact in advertising. At the least, buyers should be alerted that this is a "non-standard" size. I lowered the rating to 🌟🌟 because the soft-close works very well. The inconvenience of a short, thin (lacking in depth (sitting closer to the bathroom floor than my knees find comfortable)) of this product causes me to find it uncomfortable, messy to clean up after, and disheartening to see everytime I enter the bathroom.By Xandra on October 2, 2018

*update. We loved this one so much, we ordered one for our other bathroom that has an oval toilet. It's perfect. I sit on the lid to give my daughter a bath in the tub and it does not budge or cave in like our old one.
