From the Author
It started out as a short story. When I shared the story with a friend, they mentioned that it might be better as a book, a novel. What had been seven or eight chapters soon grew into twenty-four, and the most terrifying ride through my own mind I had ever taken.
From the Inside Flap
"Alright, but no more of these kinds ofquestions after this. We need no goading from you to hate all things of Heaven." He hissed in disapproval, but he knew he was obligated to answer. "The warbetween Heaven and Hell has been an endless one. We fight because we hate allthat is good and right. All that Heaven represents. When Heaven created man, weresented the newly created man and vowed to destroy heaven and rule man as wedesired."
So he hated me. So be it. I really didn'tlike him either. I brushed his hate aside. At least I could use him until Icould find a way to trick the Devil into giving me back my soul.
"What of the Bible?" I continued, pressingmy boundaries as far as I could, "is it really the truth?"
"Your truth is whatever the truth of ourlord is. Not of the life you abandoned or that most hated book." his tone wasgrowing angry and impatient.
"Is there anything such as redemption?"
"No." His tone suddenly became as icy as ithad been moments earlier. "We are the lords over all the earth. Not God. Notman. We determine who is and who is not worthy of your so-called redemption."
