I use this for an advanced high school psychology course. It is designed for college, but it works well. Often I am frustrated when I purchase books like this because half of the activities are either fluff, busy work, or so particular that it is hard to connect it to the class I am teaching. First, the book has A LOT of activities. One would probably be pleased if only a third of the examples were used during a semester length course. Second, explanations are written so that it is easy to figure out what the activity entails and whether or not it would connect with what one is teaching. Finally, it is a fair price for what one gets.

This is a great book! I plan on using many of these activities. They are short, easy to set up, and very engaging. I used a couple last school year that I got from a conference and they were the most successful activities I used!

I teach a regular track high-school psychology class and while many of the activities in this book are interesting and intriguing, I haven't found them especially realistic for my high school classroom. Several of these activities are pretty lengthy and having only a forty-minute class period each day, I haven't found too many of these activities that I actually can put to use. I would recommend this book for advanced-track high school classes or entry level college classes. As mentioned already, there are some very interesting activities in here, but they will require a bit of pre-planning and classroom time. I originally bought this book for activities that I could leave for a substitute to do if I am ever gone or as a time filler if needed, but there is not really anything in this book that can be used for those purposes.

This book is a great resource for psychology teachers. The ideas in the book can used as they are or they can be easily modified to suit ones needs. I'm glad I bought it.

If you're looking for a book that you can use for ideas few minutes before class, this may not be it.
Most of these activities require preparation and certain items ex: hospital id bands for all of your students in class :(

I was disappointed in this book. It might be fine for somebody else teaching other "features" related to psychology, but it was unhelpful to me in my abnormal psych class. Looks good, has professional enough appearance, just was not geared in any way toward my needs. I only found a few activities in the book that I thought I would have appreciated as a student.
