I have enjoyed reading this series thus far and Favorite Coffee, Favorite Sin did not let me down. Calliope Campbell is to marry her boyfriend of 10 years, Chris Sommers. Calliope knows she should be happy; however, Chris Sommers has been unfaithful to Calliope. Roxy, who is Chris's latest bimbo announces she loves Chris and is pregnant. Chris assures Calliope that she is the only woman he loves and wants to be with.
Calliope decided that she's not going to tolerate the cheating any longer and puts the diamond in Chris's hand and said she was done. Once she was through with Chris, she felt like a new woman.
Calliope help her head high and knew she had nothing to regret. She was staying at the same hotel as one of her brother's friends and her secret crush, Michael.
Sparks fly and there is hot steamy sex; I recommend reading this book .
In Favorite Coffee Favorite Sin, the reader finds the ultimate wedding from hell. Calliope Campbell, standing in front of the minister, friends, and family has just said "I do", when her future husband's lover burst into the ceremony. Talk about an announcement! Loudly proclaiming she's pregnant, the wedding is definitely off.
Rescued by bad boy and lady's man Michael Marshall, she's whisk from the scene. Michael has a thing for Calliope and Calliope's wondered about Michael and his prowess with the ladies. Spending one night in his bed will not be enough. Michael sees the chance to finally have Calliope after the disastrous wedding of the century; he never plans to let go. Calliope begins to realize Michael's the one she should have been with all this time. My romance book review of Favorite Coffee Favorite Sin follows.
CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Favorite Coffee Favorite Sin, filled with emotion and a fast paced romance, grabs your attention immediately. Pinder crafted an intense love story between Michael and Calliope. Each have issues they must resolve and mistakes to forgive themselves. Michael' s character grows slowly during this story as he comes to realize he is his own man, not a replica of his father; family dynamics influenced Michael his whole life. His insecurities and low self-esteem must be overcome; Calliope encourages him at every opportunity. Calliope saw a loving relationship in her parents which gave her a basis to want the same for herself. Realizing she had settled for Chris, her former finance, Calliope decided to live for herself. It was great to see Calliope stand up and take a stand.
With well paced plotting and well-developed characters, I found this book a solid romance which held my attention. Containing intense love scenes, I recommend Favorite Coffee Favorite Sin for mature young adults and adults
