Wedding planner and maid of honor Sandra Marshall is attending her best friend Penny and cousin Jay's wedding on a cruise to the Bahamas when she bumps into her cheating high school ex Wyatt. Although Sandra's dated in the years since Wyatt, she could never fully get him out of her head. Marine and widower Wyatt Colburn has only ever loved Sandra and thinks she probably despises him now after he ruined everything. When Wyatt's half-sister Penny asks him and Sandra to work together to ensure her mother Geneva and Jay's mother Kate don't ruin the wedding, he agrees. Sandra tells Wyatt "I was hoping we could clear the air in order to help Penny" and forgives Wyatt after hearing his side of the story. Will Sandra and Wyatt's second chance at love lead to a HEA?
Favorite Coffee, Favorite Mistake is fun, suspenseful and sweet. Victoria Pinder has paired an entertaining story and interesting characters for a book that grabbed my attention.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
Victoria Pinder definitely knows how to please her readers.
Sandra is a wedding planner; her current wedding is between her best friend (Penny) and her cousin (Jay) as part of a 4-day cruise to the Bahamas. This trip is also giving Sandra a chance to consider the merger and buyout of her company to The House of Morgan Clothing Line. What Sandra didn't expect was to see her high school sweetheart after all these years. Wyatt had cheated on Sandra with someone else and married her. Wyatt was on board with is daughter (Charlotte); he's now a widowed as his wife died. Wyatt is Penny's half-brother.
Charlotte wants her Daddy to find her another Mommy; the first time Charlotte sees Sandra and asks who she is, her Daddy told her no one that crushed Sandra as she never fully got over their breakup.
I really recommend reading this book to see what happens to all the characters.
This was a short tale that felt like it could have been fleshed out more into a full novel, but that might be because Victoria's that good of a writer so I always want more from her books! I look forward to the next chapter to see if Sandra sells her business to Victoria Morgan, and watt Michael's tale will be! This is my honest review of a voluntarily read ARC.
This is a story about people and love, how just because you have lost it once doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to it forever. Sandra wants the wedding of her best friend to go without any hiccups, if only the mother-in-law to be wasn’t such a meddler. The other fly in the ointment is the brother of the bride, who happens to be Sandra’s ex Wyatt. He comes with his own set of hiccups, can they find common ground, after all weddings are romantic, aren’t they? Without giving the game away, go enjoy an hour or two of great, easy reading.
