Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Cheating spouses are a sensitive subject. Sometimes art imitates life and sometimes the converse. Sometimes a book will hit close to home and make you feel more than you wish. Remember, a book is just a book and I write fiction, my work is intended to entertain.

This book is by far one of the best! I don't think the book was slow at all. In fact, it brought you into what was going on as well as meeting the main characters, within the first few chapters. Definitely kept me on my feet and I found myself talking aloud while reading lol. You always hear about men cheating, so I'm glad someone took the liberty to write about a woman doing all the dirt. I enjoy reading books by black authors. This book wasn't demeaning like the "Hood" stories or raunchy like Zane's books and still grabbed my attention. A must read!!!

I consider myself very very soft when it comes to rating books, but this book was all over he place...some things had no beginnings...others had no endings...the main character... THERE WAS NONE!!! grace had no reason why she was doing what she was doing.... the characteristics of the characters were not solid....the lover(i dont even remember his name it was so many characters) was a preppy, crazy, thugged out, business man, player...who fell in love with a married woman after 2 weeks...like wth?!?!? i didnt like this book very much....it was way all over the place.....there were flash backs...flash forwards...and even some flash sideways....and by the time I realized nothing was going to change about the book...it ended very abrubtly.. dont waste ur time

I was really excited about reading this book until I started the first page. The writing was cut off at the beginning and end of each sentence. I got tired of guessing what the words were supposed to be so I just gave up. Can't say I've ever experienced anything like this!

Are the reviewers of this book one and the same? I have come across a lot of bad writing (the downside of freebies), but this has to be the worst, and to think it was written by a fellow (sic) 'sista'! Trite dialogue was the least of it. Did no one proofread this thing? The errors abounded. Wrong tenses, things like roll for role and maim for mane.... there were just too many of them! The author would do well to find herself an editor and a proof reader. I will not waste time on her other offerings.

The first thing I notice about this is the title. Why the odd capitalization? I think this book intended to flip gender roles around, or perceived roles as presented in other books.
A group of women complain that men are "dogs" and can't be trusted. The men, while not perfect aren't the dogs or playas in the story. That isn't a spoiler as you know that by chapter 3.

The author does something else daring. Chapter 1 is presented in proper grammar and dialogue. Later when a group of young singles talk, the dialogue sounds loose and full of slang. It almost sounded like a different author. So the married professional couple are written in one style and the younger crowd are a different type of style. It's surprising at first but becomes well done.

I like the way the story was presented and told.

Ques.1: he got all the signs but Grace was really good at lying. So I guess him not knowing wasn't hard to read.

2. Grace is just simply selfish.
3. Sometimes we try to hide from our past but honesty is always the best policy. So Melissa should have to told Brian.
4. No. What Edwin did was based on pure calculated thought. Giving the relationship another chance would be him lying to her now. As he had lost all trust in her and their relationship.
5. Yes and No. She was a good friend and her gut feeling was that Grace was bad news but all one can do is look out for you find.
6. When you fight for something you need to have a cause and believe in it. He had no cause she robbed him of that. so I don't believe Edwin should have fought for his married.
7. He choose to ignore the signs cause it was easier and admitting the love of his life didn't care about him.
8. Phil honestly is an idiot. Don't wait until you have no other choice, if you love someone just tell them and show them and like the ball in their court.
9. Sonia played no part in my book. He felt betrayed so he would have left her sorry ass anyways.
10. I think Raphael is just clueless and dominating. He believes what he felt at any given time. He have even have some disorder.
11. Yes, Loneliness is very much a just reward.
12. Well Brian changed cause he finally got to taste how it felt to be played. So what is there else to do? He really deep down wants a true relationship and Melissa seem genuine enough so it was worth a shot.
13. Yes I believe they will get married nevertheless, is just a matter of when and where they are strong enough together.
14. Grace didn't know her husband at all.
