Throw in some wonderful family dynamics and secondary characters, and it all comes together to make it a perfect little escape from the real world. Lord knows how bad I needed that escape.
I was delighted to see nods to previous characters I've loved, and to get hints of what more may be to come. In this crazy world, I need all of the sweet escapes a B. Cranford tale can give me, so keep them coming!
It makes you realize that life is short and you need to live while you can.
Lenny and Rowan are adorable. Their first meet is amazing and has you wishing it could be you who stumbled across this guy.
I couldn’t read this book quick enough though I didn’t want it to end. It was funny, it was serious and it made me smile a ton.
Well this little story is all about this and so much more. Lenny is a girl with a lot of baggage so to speak, but she is sweet and kind, scared of a lot but with good reason. Enter Rowan, the total opposite. This is a definite story of opposites (in some ways) attracting. magnets that are inexplicably drawn to each other. A right hand and a left hand together they are complete. However, Lenny has to learn to stand on her own but having someone to lean on when life becomes overwhelming is a comfort she is not use to and is definitely a welcomed change.
I don’t want to give anything else away because there’s so much sweetness and goodness in this story you deserve to find out the why and how it came to be all by yourself. It will definitely put a smile on your face. It may even get you to face some of your own fears.
I would’ve like a little more on the secondary characters and friends I didn’t meet but other than that I really enjoyed it.
You get in all in this lovely story; the smiles, the laughs, the sweet, the mild angst, the quips and the heat! Yes, don’t worry about the heat. It’s all there!
It’s a quick read with a lot of heart. Hoping there’s a second book to this series so I can see these two again! The “ meet cute” is certainly just that, so cute. Have no fear you will certainly fall for these two enchanting characters..
Lenny and Rowan are both people who could be my friends. Neither are over the top, and I bought into their instant commeraderie. As Lenny faces her fears, Row is there to support but not push. He is not only respectful of her boundaries, he gives her space to create new experiences.
Rowan is my favorite kind of hero. He’s smart, kind, and he doesn’t need to be aggressive to be strong. Lenny is kind and scared, but she no longer lets her fears keep her frozen. Watching the two of them breathe and grow is both funny and endearing. Couple that with Cranford’s signature chemistry, and you have the perfect recipe for a happily ever after. The side characters are fun and flawed and they had major impact on the story’s trajectory. There are no throw-away characters here!
The Fear Of Falling is the perfect short book for our time. It’s simultaneously sweet and optimistic with a hearty helping of hot. I really hope to see these characters in the future!
