From the Back Cover
We all live with fear. It hangs around, whispering in our ears, reminding us of all we can't do or will never be. But that's not the end of the story. We also have a God who draws close to say, Fear not. I am with you. This Spirit transforms us into fear fighters--women breaking free of trepidation to find bold dedication to God's peace-, purpose-, and joy-filled callings.
With remarkable compassion born from personal experience, Kelly Balarie shows women how to
· Cultivate unstoppable faith by harnessing God's Word and promptings
· Usher in lasting peace through prayers that reduce panic, blood pressure, and stress
· Discover clear and immediate action plans to exchange worry for God's greatest gifts
· Implement daily bravery decrees to stand armed throughout the day
· Participate in a twelve-week study guide to foster new courageous habits
Kelly pulls back the curtain of fear so you can find the beautiful woman God created you to be.
"Kelly does a beautiful job weaving her own personal story with the transforming truth of God's Word, inviting women to come out of hiding and step into the fullness of their identity as daughters of the King."--Kyle Zimmerman, lead pastor, Mariners Church Irvine
Kelly Balarie has lived her subject matter. Her faith was built as she battled through an eating disorder, depression, serious health concerns, company failures, family tragedies, job losses, and times without income. Throughout it all, Kelly has looked past the pain to pursue God's always-unfolding plan. Kelly is a featured blogger at Crosswalk.com and iBelieve.com. Her work has been featured on Relevant, (in)courage.me, and Today's Christian Woman. She lives with her husband and two toddlers near the sun-soaked shores of the East Coast.

As three tornados touched down in my area that very night, I had the calm assurance that my God would take care of me and my family. When I landed on page 229, the words jumped from the page into my spirit.
“You are always at work. I can trust You. You are doing something. Help me reach out to grab Your hand that is always extended to me, even when I am cowering, shivering, and perspiring in fear. Amen.”
This wasn’t the first tornado I’ve faced nor is it the first tornado of fear I’ve tried to push away. I’ve purchased many books on the subject hoping, praying to be set free from it’s icy grip. Fear has always been there sneaking in the shadows of my mind waiting to my most vulnerable moments to press down on me.
I’ve tried human efforts only to fail multiple times. This book is different. It takes the focus off of your efforts and places them solely on the effort and works of God’s Spirit. This book has opened my eyes and confirmed the supernatural things that I had hoped to be true.
We as Christians have a real force working on our behalf. The battle isn’t determined by our efforts but by our beliefs in that force. Working through the questions at the back of the book were most helpful in realizing the many areas that I’ve put my trust into my own efforts which is futile.
If you’ve found yourself facing your own tornados feeling like your self efforts were at best hopeless, this book is for you. Learn how to replace fear with truth. It’s the only method that really works.
This book will teach you how to allow God’s Spirit to enable you to have the power to defeat your old enemy, fear.

In Kelly Balarie’s book Fear Fighting, we see this firsthand. Very peppy and conversational, Fear Fighting is basically a highly motivational devotional. You’ll find Kelly very real and relatable as a woman who both loves God and struggles with fear.
But what makes this book different is Kelly doesn’t run from fear or call it dumb or doubtful. She doesn’t ask us to scare ourselves out of feeling it.
According to Kelly, living fearlessly isn’t a matter of learning to lock our knocking knees or bite our quivering lips. There is no 5-step plan for us to fear failing at. We don’t have to undertake an intimidating process of becoming someone we’re not. Fear isn’t defeated when we muster up the guts to stare it down…but it loses its power when we fix our eyes on Him.
“We let go of all we are not and see all that God is,” Kelly says. Her proposal is simple: “The Spirit says start. Start fearing God rather than fearing everyone is going to take you down.”*
Kelly knows fear, and she knows we can’t beat it by pretending we can. Instead, she reminds us who can and who has.
Bravery is fearing God. I love how Kelly brings this truth out.
In the book, you’ll find this message proclaimed loud and clear right alongside stories to illustrate the point and dig deeper. Kelly offers several practical memory devices and strategies to help us fear-fighting readers reorient ourselves to God’s hugeness. At the end of each chapter Kelly also provides “something to chew” to help process her points about fear and faith. Definitely a helpful, encouraging read with the power to be used by God to change lives and embolden hearts.

This book not only gives you tools to help you overcome your fears, but it empowers you to believe in yourself enough conquer them once and for all! ❤️ There are so many nuggets of wisdom in this book.
I don’t normally buy a book with the intention of underlining important important information and writing things in the margins; But that’s exactly what I did with this book. I believe the best way to get the most out of this book is to interact with it. I turned mine into a workbook and it is changing my life!
Any woman who is facing crippling fear, like I do at times, needs to read this book!
But the book helps address that part of shame in ourselves and let's us know God loves me no matter what.
Would recommend it to everyone whether you are fighting a battle or know of someone who is...
