It's rare to find a photo book with a "look behind the curtain" rather than being a homage or portfolio to drool over. Charlotte not only did a "how-to" but created an impressive portfolio showcasing her abilities and talent too.
Good portraiture is such a mainstay of the photographer's "bag o'tricks" and all too often thought of classically and staid. Charlotte with her apparent boundless energy shatters this misconception with an impressive volume of inspirational and creative examples ie. the green screen car shot and the location portraits of American Indians.
For the photographer facing groups (as we all do the author lays out some highly detailed advice and examples including a mind-boggling town population shot. Holy cow that's knocking it out of the park! I love it and it's money well spent ...but I got it as a gift so one better.
