I knew going into it that there were only 28 recipes because I looked on Gwen's blog and found all of them listed, along with the E, S, or FP labels. But who are we kidding? Any big holiday meal will be an S. And at Thanksgiving I had crossovers and I enjoyed every bite! It's one day and I'm thankful for the abundance we have in the US. :)
These recipes are the heavy hitters of any big meal. Yeah! All in one place. Yeah! With nice pics for each item.Yeah!
This was my first big THM holiday meal and I was sweating it a bit. When I first saw this book I was like "yes!" Every recipe I made was good (I think I tried 12 or so for Thanksgiving). The cornbread was awesome (not easy on THM), the Caramel Apple Crisp was so yummy I made another one after it flew off the pan on Thanksgiving, and the dressing was fab too.
Honestly, to me this book was worth every penny. I'm sorry that others have given it poor reviews or had problems. My experience has been nothing but positive :)
Be aware that this is a small book, like a periodical. It is "Fall and Winter: 2015-2016" with 28 recipes. It seems a very steep price for 28 recipes, especially when 2 of the recipes are missing (pages 32-36).
