For those who use the traditional Angostura/Orange bitters in your old fashioned, PLEASE give this a try! It really adds a nice woody/nutty flavor that complements bourbon/rye perfectly! Simply replace the Ango with the BW bitters, keep your preferred amount of Orange. But hey, give it a shot, mix it how you want with whatever other bitters you want, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm sure there are plenty of other cocktails this could compliment, but I haven't tried them yet.

I do wish they used only natural ingredients though.

Great strong earthy flavor. A little goes along way. A must, along with BITTERS: Cardamon, Blood Orange, and Cherry for my "BillyBob's "Old Fashion". Recipe: in a shaker - mix: 1-1/2 oz good Bourbon, 1 tsp Real Maple Syrup, 1 tsp Cherry Juice, A couple of hefty shakes of Walnut, Cardamon, Cherry. (only 1)Blood Orange. Lightly shake and pour over Large Cube of Ice. Add couple of Cherries (one of those Italian brands are a good alternative to our Maraschino's. I like "Toshi" Black Cherries. All these items I listed are items I bought here!

I had a bartender in one of the finer bars in my city make a Manhattan with this bitter. It was impressive and since then I cannot use angostura bitters unless the recipe needs it specifically. These bitters have a strong walnut flavor that balances very nicely with the brown sugar and woodsy notes found in most Bourbons.

Bought this after trying the Capital Grill In-Fashion drink. Great new twist to the already excellent old fashion drink. On my first attempt, I did 2 parts bourbon, 1 part simple syrup, 0.75 part Grand Marnier, and a few drops of this. It's hard to imagine going back to a normal old fashion after this. Highly recommend!
