Lots of stories about cannibalism, which I suppose was to be expected from a food-themed genre fiction anthology. They do vary in terms of quality, but some are phenomenal and treat cannibalism as a metaphor, which is an enthralling way to write crime fiction. If I had to give out medals for FEEDING KATE, it would go as follows:
Gold Medal: Laura Benedict/Hilary Davidson
Silver Medal: Stephen Blackmoore
Bronze Medal: Joelle Charbonneau.
Very fun and lively collection, where female authors kinda kick their male counterparts asses. Plus, it's a charity anthology. Now that Sabrina has had her surgery, the book profits all go to lupus foundation.
