I took a chance and read this for free with no reviews to guide me. I was pleasantly surprised.
If this author continues to write in this clean (nice story/no sex) style, I would be interested in reading more of her work.
The heroine has an "unnatural" interest in the natural sciences and is a closet botanist who corresponds (as a Mr. Allenham) with the known botanist, Henry Burbank. When Henry finds himself visiting a friend who lives in the same area as this Mr. Allenham, he is determined to meet him. Obviously you know what's going to happen, but it's an entertaining read and keeps within the time period as far as vocabulary and behavior of characters.
The book description on the product page says "A clean regency romance in the vein of Georgette Heyer." I'm in agreement with it being clean but it's not really "a la Heyer" in plot or tone. However, it's good in its own right.
This was a fun story. I liked both Beatrice and Henry. They really are perfect for each other.

Very short, Clean Regnecy.
The wandering semi-omniscient point of view might bother some readers, but it fit fine with the rest of the style. I liked the interesting archaic words thrown in for period flavor, and the botanical elements were cool.
If you're interested in a gentle period romance, this is for you.
