"Classic cars, garden gnomes, and steamy romance? My kind of book!"
--Bestselling Author Kate Perry

"Reading Niecey Roy's FENDER BENDER BLUES is like eating Lays Potato chips. Once you start, you can't stop! It's just that good! For a new (non-fattening) addiction, read Niecey Roy!!! --Robyn Peterman author of HOW HARD CAN IT BE?

About the Author

Once upon a time, there was a young girl who wrote sappy poetry about every relationship gone wrong. She had her heart broken many times before the man of her dreams stepped off a big Navy ship and swept her off her feet, promising to never hold her shoe obsession against her. From that day forward, she swore she'd never again write sappy poetry of unrequited love. Instead, a sucker for smooches and happily-ever-afters, Niecey Roy now writes contemporary romance inspired by her sailor's sexy brown eyes and charming sense of humor.

"Fender Bender Blues" isn't exactly what I expected from a lighthearted romantic comedy. The characterization of both the hero and heroine delved deeper than the typical tale within the genre, bringing a surprising amount of angst to the table. Niecey Roy does an exceptional job of balancing both hilarity and the complexities of a genuine romantic relationship.

Rachel Bennett is a social worker on leave of absence due to a personal crisis that leaves her questioning her own judgment. She bounces from one menial job to another, and drags our hero along on a variety of side-splitting adventures, including waging yard wars with her grumpy neighbor.

Craig Larsen is a workaholic, a serious businessman who has lost touch with the human race and his sense of fun. Fortunately for him, Rachel helps him find it again. The sassy redhead turns his world upside down. Hero and heroine fight their way into love--often with absolutely hilarious results.

The story begins with her backing her vehicle from her driveway while applying lip gloss--a bad combination anyway you look at it. She is lucky enough to collide with the gorgeous Craig Larsen, and collide she does, in so many more ways than just the auto accident.

Now, reactions on Amazon reviews are heated and varied. Niecey Roy has really struck a chord with a lot of people. Reviewers seem to love Rachel or hate her. No in-between. As a former auto liability adjuster for a major insurance company, I can totally sympathize with the portion of the audience who would like to see her driver's license suspended. Negligent driving, especially when the at fault party blames the other driver, is a pet peeve of mine.

That said--Rachel has many great qualities.

Romantic comedies are my go-to stress busters. I love to laugh and Niecey Roy's novel provided the chuckles. She had me at the title and didn't let up on the gas until the very last word. Rachel "Rach" Bennett is on a job search while applying lip gloss when she crunches cars with an "Angry Hot Guy" aka Craig Larsen. Rach loved her job as a social worker, but a disaster case closed her down, and she needs to find a new revenue stream fast. Part of the comedy involves the various jobs Rach takes on with hilarious results. None of them are right for her, but Craig, despite their dubious first meeting, just might be. You may want to hit Craig over the head with a newspaper when he bungles a promising romance with Rach. You don't want to know how far he'll go to get back into Rach's good graces. Wait, I think you do. Especially if you're in the mood for a light, fun read that includes true-to-life moments of despair but ends on an up note.

I have never laughed harder in my life. I'm sure the people walking by my office think I'm crazy, laughing as hard and loud as I was. But nope, not crazy just enjoying a brillantly written story. Took me 4 days to read, two of which I didn't read anything at all and the first I only read the first three chapters. Rach and Craig had me laughing and wanying to smack or yell at them. Can't wait to read the next book by this up-and-coming author.

Niecey Roy has penned a wonderful debut novel with Fender Bender Blues. She uses snappy dialogue, well-rounded main characters and quirky neighbors to tell this story that is written with heart, humor, and sincere emotions. I know I'll never look at yard art the same way again. Well done!

I really enjoyed the story. I liked the way he author built up Red and Craig relationship. It didn't feel rushed. I also loved the crazy stunts they got into. It made the story have a life outside of the usual love stories. Good job Niecey!

I am not generally a reader of romance, but could not put this one down after I started reading it. Niecey Roy has a great voice for story telling that gets you hooked right from the beginning. I highly recommend this book to any one.

It was a quick and light-hearted read. The personality of the main character was not pleasant. She was childish, rude and just negative (perhaps stemmed from her jobless situation). But I guess it made her real and she did behave better towards the end of the book. The story moved along with her crazy adventures and her growing attraction to a guy who infuriated her.

I hadnt read a (romance) book in years, I am not into the whole fake Danielle Steel type of romance. I was originally sent this book to do a review for I Heart Books. Once I read this book I was in awe by far the best romance I have ever read. Neicey is such a talented writter. I now have this book in every format possible and am possibly one of her biggest fans. I have recommended this book to so many people it is unbelievable. Cant wait for her next book!!!!!
