I downloaded this Kindle book because the price was right, but after reading this very short e-book, I came away quite disappointed.

First of all, the book was not written by a Feng Shui expert. After doing a web search on the author, there is no indication that he has ever conducted a consultation himself. The book seems to be a set of snippets he has read in other books and has recycled them into a poorly understood mishmash of ideas and concepts, which leads me to believe that he really doesn't have a firm grasp on the subject matter and how to apply it to one's home. For example, in one instance he mentions that one should "Know your Kua Number" but doesn't say what that is, how to figure it out, or how to apply it. His background on design is questionable as well. He talks about a home office and mentions "How about getting more focus through white?" If he had done any research at all before he made this statement he'd know that white is actually the worst color for an office setting as it increases eye strain.

He mixes up the concepts of using a compass and using the "corners" to determine an energetic area. For example "...teamwork can be framed in silverware and hanged on the northwest wall." (This also gives you an indication of the grammatical errors in the book. Silverware is a food utensil and pictures are "hung", criminals are "hanged"). On the next page he's telling you to arrange things based on the "back left, lower right, etc." locations on the desk. Which is it? Use the compass directions or not? They both can't be correct. The book also relies a lot on superstitions mentioning using colors and crystals to change the energy in one's home.

Within 34 pages, we're introduced to the basics of Feng Shui and we're offered a hands-on approach on how to bring those basics to fruition in our home. The impact of colors and the placement of various things in different rooms in our home was something that made sense to me. Along with the explanation that Feng Shui is not a religious syste, or belief, led me to see this ancient Chinese system as a different, fresher way of living.
Highly recommended to pairs too, as the advice given on what and how to treat your bedroom might 'magically' solve any problems unspoken of.

This is a very interesting book about the relationship of our environment to attitude to health. I didn't know what Feng Shui was but have a better idea now. I understand why it is so necessary and important. This book is filled with information that can help you understand the importance of your environment at home and work. A short book for the one minute manager or the person on the go, this book will help improve your lifestyle.

I am very happy I picked up Feng Shui from Thomas Hunter. I was always intrigued by learning more about a simple life, minimalism and feng shui. This book fulfills all the promises it makes and give great tips and techniques on top of it. The information inside the book is going to make my year 2014 so much more simplistic, so much more easy and so much more productive. Thanks

This is very unique and new to me book about Feng Shui set of principles and guidelines how to organize your surroundings.
"Feng" means "wind" and "Shui" means "water" (I guess, in Chinese, is that right?)
It also describes the impact of different colors on physical, emotional and psychological harmony and comfort.

I didn't know anything about Feng Shui and this book gave me a perfectly comprehensive overview! It's all about paying attention to your surroundings, which has surprising results. If you want to know how you can eliminate stress, build connections, give your life ambience, and even lose weight realistically, read this book! You'll come across "clear the clutter" a lot but it has several different meanings. When you get one aspect of your life together, even if it's rearranging your kitchen, your life changes. This is a no nonsense book. You'll find yourself more environmentally conscious and well nourished. The sections about how the elements work together and what colors really do were particularly intriguing, to say the least.

An outline of Feng Shui. Not as informative as I expected, but an easy read. I expected more detailed instruction. Some reference words assumed the reader already new about chi and Feng Shui.
